Starting on the running track at Koola Park in East Killara follow the sign to Rocky Creek descending via well formed steps to the fire trail. There is a short side trip to view Rocky Creek although if you want to reach the creek itself, you will have to bush bash. The fire trail is wide, well maintained and has many Xanthorrhoea but it can be muddy after rain at the beginning. At the end of the main trail, there is a rock scramble (reasonably easy to find) to another fire trail which leads back to Kimberley St.
