Amazing swimming place! The hike from the car park took me 40 minutes today and was through beautiful rainforest. Most of the trail is fairly even ground, some tree roots here and there. It was quite dry so there were no slippery areas that some other people have mentioned however I imagine it could get tricky in heavy rain. The pools at the end of the trail are divine! Crystal clear water and many pools to relax in!
Good little walk. There are a couple of parts where you need to be sure footed!
This one is not for anyone unstable as the trail gets very narrow and rocky with some short steep climbs often traversing across a steep slope. It is a beautiful natural trail that follows the river with plenty of opportunities to get down to the river to enjoy the many pools. The trail leads to a beautiful deep pools, very tranquil.
Awesome. Beautiful. I walked in light rain, it had been torrential the last 3 days so waterfalls were pumping. Very slippery though so was very careful not to slip off cliff. I personally wouldn't advise to do in rain though unless super careful . Not recommended for small children as there are dicey spots to fall off edge. However moderate fitness required. Pools are just divine, would be insane swimming in summer.
Beautiful and challenging track. Although no rain for 3 weeks. Still came across a section that was still washed out. It was very slippery and you sank foot deep in mud with many skiddish mud sliding. Not for the faint hearted. Had the right waterproof shoes that day so it didn't bother me but it would certainly turn many others away if not prepared. Would not suggest walking it if there has been any rain in a week as you are certain to injuries.
Amazing. The last little bit is not good for little kids but the rest is beautiful
Really enjoyed this beautiful walk alongside the flowing creek. There were a few trees down across the track due the the recent heavy rains, but they were easily negotiated. We were grateful to have downloaded the map as the trail(s) diverge and converge a few times and right near the end the path was not immediately clear. I expect some of the hilly terrain could be quite slippery in wet conditions however there were plenty of trees and roots with which to maintain a secure footing and hand holds. Take your towel - the water holes are very inviting.
Love this walk, the track is quiet defined and meanders west I suppose on the northern side of Macquarie Rivulet. Rather an easy walk however at times care must be made with footing due to excessive traffic on the trail and washout from recent heavy rain. Plenty of little trails that run down to the river to explore or rest. The waterhole is clean and deep which is good for swimming. Exercise caution up above the water hole as rocks can be very slippery.
