Per another hiker I caught a bus (987) from Cronulla (check with the Google machine - super limited services on weekends and public holidays) and actually started this hike in Kurnell (where a load of dolphins were cruising waves with some surfers). Gorgeous coast but very exposed (if its windy, you cop it). Killer 2km hike on sand at the end, but a hot meal and a coffee (Or a beer) await you in Conulla. Total mileage from Kurnell to Cronulla was about 16km.

I just went one way and it is possible to get a bus (385 I believe but check google maps) back to town. The bus isn’t very frequent though! Especially on Sunday’s and bank holidays. There’s one at 17:00. If not an Uber will cost 24 dollars back to the train station which has great links to central and Bondi Junction.
