A must do if you are in Sydney. The trail can certainly be crowded, but this is easily overcome by the jaw dropping vistas at every turn. There is great bus service to both Bondi and Coogee. Apply plenty of sunscreen and wear a bathing suit so you can cool off in the many accessible beaches. There are many water sources and eating options along the way. Give yourself 5 - 7 hours (one way) if you are snapping photos, grabbing food and taking a dip. This route may be frustrating for runners given the high amount of people on the trail.

This is arguably Sydney's most famous coastal walk and having lived here my whole life, it has been high up on my list. Though the views are beautiful, it can get very crowded and the path is narrow in parts. If you're like me, and hike in order to get away from the hustle and bustle, this probably won't be the walk for you. That being said, if you pick the right time you can get the track almost all to yourself. I walked to Bondi from Coogee and back— When I was returning (around 4.30pm) not only did I catch the gorgeous sunset, but the path had emptied right out.

Walked this trail at sunrise and had the most amazing views almost the entire way. Quite an easy walk, just a few areas with alot of stairs but easily completed the walk from Bondi to Coogee and back in 4.5hours.

A beautiful walk along a stunning coastline. A must do if you’re visiting Sydney. Treat yourself at the end at one of the many fine establishments in Coogee.

Beautiful walk along a superb coastline. Lots of photo opportunities so count on it taking a little longer than you think. Plenty of beaches if you want to stop for a swim. Easy trail conditions and easy to follow. Some stairs involved.

Amazing track! It was overcast and sprinkled a bit, and it was still one of the best walks we’ve done. A good amount of stairs, so be mindful of that!

A shout out to Clovelly Social House for a great lunch / coffee / beer stop. Give yourself 5 - 7 hours (one way) if you are snapping photos, grabbing food and taking a dip.

By far the most beautiful coastal walk I have ever been on. The ocean views are amazing, several small beaches on the way, gorgeous blue/green waters. Gnarly sandstone rock cliffs, really cool ocean pools... Bondi beach is classic- surfers seriously shredding, skate park, restaurants and bars with views. It was winter... dreary, cold and still unforgettable. Public transportation was smooth all around there. I would go back and do it again, and again... and again.

If you have the chance then do the walk during “sculptures by the sea”. Around 100 sculptures will be placed along the walk. Quite extraordinary

A world class walk. A must do for every visitor. Bus to Bondi Beach then head South to Coogee and bus back to the city. The best $7 you can spend. I normally like to run but this is definitely a walk. It is so popular that it is more enjoyable going the same pace as the majority. Oh and the views are too good to run this. There is no tree cover. Sun protection and hydration a must. When the ocean is calm and the weather warm slip into the water off the rocks. Heaven.

Yes, it’s easy. Yes it’s crowded. And yes, I am a tourist. But every time I come to Sydney I do this multiple times. I typically start in Cogee, and the views of the Sydney Beaches are the best! I love this “walk” it’s not a hike, more of an amazing stroll. Everywhere you look is beautiful. I’m an avid hiker, and this is my favorite walk in the world!

Running

If this path was a little wider I would give it 5 stars. The views are just about the best that you can get in sydeny, and the wind and salty air churning up the sides of the cliffs keep you pretty cool even on a warm day. Running here early (05:30 - 7:00) is probably the best idea, as it starts to get busy even by around 7:00 on weekends at least. The surface can be a bit tricky in places. There are some uneven sandstone sections on the path briefly before you make your way around the head to Tamarama, not to mention the stairs, many of which are also sandstone and therefore wear-out heavily in the middle of each step. There are also plenty of very fast sections with concrete underfoot, especially heading around past the Tamarama bus stop and down near Clovelly. One of my favourites!
