Walking

Charlestown to Queens Wharf. A section of the Great North Walk. Great walk though suburban streets, exploring bush around Glenrock State Conservation Area via the Yuelarbah Track, including Leichhardt’s Lookout and Glenrock Lagoon. Along Burwood Beach on the sand past the heads to Merewether Beach and ocean pools. Merewether Surfhouse a great lunch spot. Continue along the coast line to Queens Wharf, via views from Strzelecki Lookout, The Obelisk and wander through King Edward Park. Stroll through Newcastle CBD and mall to Queens Wharf to the end and a refreshing beverage.

First to Review

Great walk along Newcastle’s most iconic beaches. All footpaths and always close to toilets, water or cafes. Great in sections with kids and family.
