Bathers Way to Newcastle is a 6.4 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Merewether, New South Wales, Australia that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, nature trips, bird watching, and fishing and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Charlestown to Queens Wharf. A section of the Great North Walk. Great walk though suburban streets, exploring bush around Glenrock State Conservation Area via the Yuelarbah Track, including Leichhardt’s Lookout and Glenrock Lagoon. Along Burwood Beach on the sand past the heads to Merewether Beach and ocean pools. Merewether Surfhouse a great lunch spot. Continue along the coast line to Queens Wharf, via views from Strzelecki Lookout, The Obelisk and wander through King Edward Park. Stroll through Newcastle CBD and mall to Queens Wharf to the end and a refreshing beverage.
