Murrays Beach and Murrays Trail Loop is a 3.8 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located in the state of Jervis Bay Territory, Australia that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round.
A short walk to a very beautiful (but busy) beach and lookout at Governors Head with great views across to Bowen Island, followed by an extended loop along Murrays Trail. Access is well-marked from the car park. If you want to detour down to the beach or follow the the coastline around off-trail, note that some rock scrambling required especially at high tide and may be impassable.
easily doable but rather boring for kids. not much to see first half and 2nd half is similar fashion..
Beautiful walk although parts of it aren’t accessible via the beach.
A great walk with the opportunity to view little penguins, bring your binoculars! Check the tide, as at high tide the walk back along the beach will have you very wet!
An easy hike with awesome views and beautiful white beaches. Lots of bird life.
A very beautiful beach - but expect a few people here in summer. The short walk to Governors Head is worth the effort, for some nice views. Hard to imagine this was the site of a proposed nuclear power station! https://hikingtheworld.blog/2018/01/17/murrays-beach-and-governor-head-jervis-bay/
