Walking

Easy trail with some moderate inclines leading to a pretty temple. If you plan to enter the temple area, dress appropriately. Currently there is a large green 'fence' blocking the entrance to the trail. this was put in during the lockdown but was never taken down. Just walk around the fence...Lots of people still using the trail.

We enjoyed this trail. We hired a guide and I think we made a right choice. The jungle is very dense. The trail was unmarked at some points. It’s easy to get lost. The guide told us that it usually rains in the afternoon in Khaosok. We made it to Bang Hua Rad, Wing Hin and Bang Leab Nam. And, we had to stop since the rain was pouring so hard. We saw Cicadas, Wild boars, Dusky Langurs on Bamboos. Be ready for leeches.

This route was confusing. There are many intersecting trails and the trail was overgrown in a few parts. Even with a GPS I made a few wrong turns and the overgrown plants were full of thorns, irritating hairs, or biting ants. The waterfall itself was nice but a large tree has fallen over since I was last there, totally taking out the only good place to sit and relax. There are better ways to get to this waterfall and better waterfalls in the area.

Enjoyed this short hike. Like someone else said BEWARE of going through and along cave ledge to the left of waterfall as your facing it from the bottom looking up. Aggressive wasps. Got stung on the back of my neck. Jotted around to other side and had a shower under falls. So refreshing.

It is hidden in a scout camp. The trail head is beyond a little bridge at the farthest end of the camp area. Look for an observation tower for the trail head. The camp seems to be unstaffed but I called The overall trail is okay. Not too overgrown, and not too long. The condition in July is quite arid. The waterfall is not so spectacular as it is dry. You can see the whole plateau where Chiang Mai and Lumpoon are situated and the enclosing mountain ridge. Worth it if you are looking for something not so physically demanding.

Enjoyable trail, but BEWARE! We did this route this morning and just after you cross Chang Kian waterfall there is a cave ledge you need to pass through - they're are currently very aggressive bees there! I didn't notice and they attacked me as I passed through - 5 or 6 painful stings to my head luckily the pain doesn't last long, but maybe best to avoid at the moment (19th July 2020).

Meh. Nothing too spectacular on this one. It gets steep near the turn around, and I reckon if you push on a few more kms you might get some nice views. There are loads of trails, but the one listed here is average. Not sure why it's called RockTown, as there were no rocks or cliffs. Not sure why it's called Mon Jam, because Mon Jam is much further up the trail. Average views... incredibly average. Mostly I was just disappointed by the lack of rocks, cliffs, views, and Mon Jam. The forest was pretty though.

Great as a first hike around Chiang Mai. Initial part to the viewpoint is quite steep. Really loved the walk down on the pilgrim's trail especially.

This was super challenging but we enjoyed it! If we did not have this app we would of got lost! Make sure you have battery. Take a stick to help you through overgrown parts. Also look out for snakes. We saw one in the jungle then a massive one in the waterfall so be careful if you go swimming!

I do not recommand this hike which is basically a mix of off-road and concrete road. No trails there
