I summited with a group of 7 climbers on the morning of 6th October, 2019. we started from the Barafu camp at 11:00pm the night before. As soon as we started, we had freezing rain, blowing wind and snow. We arrived at Stella Point at 6:30am and to the Uhuru Peak 19341ft at 7:30am. We spent no more than 15 minutes, then hiked back to Millennium Camp. The hardest thing I've ever done.

Summit day is a world class ass blast. With that being said you should go do it.

Did this with lead guide Athumani from Ian Taylor trekking, 10 in the group including Sheldon and Lucas, I was the oldest at 70, Lucas was the youngest at 25. You could see the difference. A good job I did lots of training.

Jambo! Just completed 7 days and 6 night Via Machame. We were guided by ClimbKili with experienced guide Helment (this was his 170th ascent). An once in a life time experience. Few advise: -Diamox titrations to you O2 saturation -Pole pole (Slow, slow) -Camp on the night before ascent: Instead of Barafu/ request Kosovo). It will save you 60-90 minute of treacherous climb to get to Kosovo. Only few companies have permission to camp at Kosovo. -Layer and layers of clothing. (I wore 6 upper and 4 lower layers) on the night of ascent -Respect: altitude means hypoxia and temperature. No living things at 19,000 feet.

Climb of a lifetime! Don't be confused, this is extremely challenging and I strongly encourage you to get the best of the best in guides. Our team from Nature Discovery made all the difference in our ability to successfully summit. Also spend the money for your own toilet tent. Game changer! The descent from Uhuru is six inches of scree, ash, and sand which will leave your quads stripped. Respect the pace of your guides, it will ensure you can make the summit.

easy stroll up till you reach slightly above 5000m.

What an adventure! Preparation is key. Know what you are signing up for. Pole pole (slow), drink water, eat enough and stay positive. An amazing and memorable journey.

Hiked this trail with a fantastic REI tour. Fantastic team, near perfect conditions. We all made the summit by going pole pole (slowly) and enjoyed the journey so much. Rashid and his team are the best guides and support team. Barranco wall was fun. Summit night was very special.

Rain and hail and aren’t that leaks at the seams in the far corners. Plus obviously wet from erecting it. Not worth unpacking any sleeping gear for it to get wet

I went there with my wife for our honeymoon. We were with the company Gladys Adventure and everything about our experience was fantastic. It's the most luxurious camping I have ever done with a very welcoming and encouraging team. It is a great challenge but totally worth it!

This is a superior hiking trail. We did 7 days hiking and enjoyed the beautiful views, dynamic changes in geography zones and physical challenge. Needless to say the summit day was tough due to low oxygen, strong wind and coldness. But it was absolutely worth every effort to be finally standing on the top of Africa. The pain is temporary, the achievement is forever! However, you have to be watchful for the mountain sickness. It can be life threatening. It has nothing to do with individual’s fitness and toughness. Be mindful!

The Lemosho route. This is a wonderful hiking experience with some of the most breathtaking views i’ve ever seen. It was an eight day hike. This was an endeavor that requires both mental and physical stamina. It is not very technical mostly uphill hiking with minimal rock climbing. Trek through the various climate zones from rain forrest to alpine dessert. Best experience ever! Bring good hiking boots!

We did the 7 day Machame route with A&K. More technical challenges than I’m used to in California but very fun. Altitude is the biggest challenge. Staying hydrated and going slow is essential. I wished I’d brought a bigger pee bottle! The summit day is grueling but fortunately we were able to rest for a few hours at our base camp before completing the rest of the descent.

I completed this journey in early 2018. I have a video on YouTube that you can watch which should give you an idea of the journey. I do recommend this trail because of a higher success rate and easier climatization. https://youtu.be/u4Y-uqbC2dU

Challenging but very scenic trail with diverse segments including jungle and alpine desert zones. Summit day was by far the hardest, with over 4000 ft elevation gain in about 3 miles, starting at over 15,000 ft. Trail conditions range from deep gravel to rocky to muddy, most at relatively steep angles. Magnificent sunsets above the clouds!

Not easy. High altitude is no joke. But definitely worth. Experience of a life time.
