Switzerland Map

Amazing. I went a few years ago before I knew about this app. The views are breathtaking. Gorgeous hike in the mountains and the water is unlike anything I have ever seen. A must!

It's an amazing trail. In summer you'll get the best view. Don't take gondola from kandersteg to Oeschinensee. It would be little harder, but it's totally worth it. This is the place which makes you fall in love with Switzerland. If you still have time and energy then you can also complete Heuberg loop.

Great walk again after doing it 20 years ago. Shame the opening stretch was closed, but detour was fun.

Allsome rated hard but if u do it from top then down to Zermatt it not that bad

This trail was much harder than I expected but 100% worth it. Very lightly trafficked, recommend starting the top portion of the loop first, upon reaching the highest point of elevations you're presented with a breath taking view.

Best of the Best, you see everything

Heavy trail for running! Many parts have to be taken slowly. 100% off-road within nature.

This is a Hard trail but the magnificent views make it worth it! To make it a little easier to get started on the trail I thought this may help: Use the app to find the trailhead as the signage in Murren (second stop on tram) is OK at best and no one we asked could get us to where we needed to be. AllTrails app was right on the money. Once on the trail it is easy to follow with some exceptions of traversing some snow higher up or on the final .5 mile where some scrambling up the rocks is necessary. That being said, there are arrows or symbols spray painted on the rocks to guide you where you need to go. We hiked up but rode the tram down because of our limited time. Awesome hike!

Absolutely beautiful views from just above Murren. Part of our trail down from Murren to Winteregg and down to Lauterbrunnen went through lots of cows. Just amazing!

Should be called the Schynige Platte Panorama Trail - very famous, very beautiful. Train takes you to the visitor center at the top, which has a little patio restaurant with literally the best views in the world (and I mean that literally literally, not figuratively). The Panorama Trail hike is pretty easy and very beautiful, and only a taste of the hiking in the area, but do it!!

Okay, didn't do this exact trail, but they don't have the exact path we took. We hiked Murren to Gimmelwald, then down into the valley. The down wasn't worth it because you were in the trees and I hate hiking down, but Murren to Gimmelwald is easy and amazingly beautiful, so 5 stars!

Amazing hike that isn’t too long and easy considering the region.

It’s hard to rate any trail in Switzerland less than five stars. However, on this one, bring a bathing suit and a towel so you can swim in the lake to cool off! Stunning views the entire time. The Swiss are truly blessed with the most amazing landscapes!

Beautiful view and cenery!

Very steep above the tree line and had many sections completely covered in snow (mid-May). Fantastic hike though with amazing Matterhorn and panoramic views.

Hiked this trail for the second time 9/17. The trail condition below Grauseeli had deteriorated and is to be hiked down with much caution. Alternate descent from Schilthorn is suggested via Rote Hard and Rotstockhutte to Murren.

A little steep to start but a very nice hike.

In a beautiful day a wonderful relaxing experience.

Absolutely stunning! We visited in late August. The trail is gravel and was moderately to lightly trafficked with more people between First and Bachalpsee. Has a couple of steep but short switchbacks and a 360° view throughout the trail. Cows are commonly seen along the trail and we saw some sheep climbing up to Faulhorn (definitely worth the 15 min). View was periodically obscured by clouds but they made for pretty cool photo backdrops. Several glaciers, peaks, wildflowers, and wildlife were visible throughout the hike.
We took the bus down from Waldspitz (24 CHF per person) although the walk is likely doable as well. I highly recommend.

Best part about this trail is that its in the city. Very easy to get to if youre in Zürich. Has some nice views of lake Zürich, and on a clear day can see the alps to the south

Great views of the Matterhorn from Schwarzsee. Did this hike in October and encountered very little traffic. I started from Zermatt and walked to the trail head from the train station. Some paved trail/road for first mile or so. Wooded with views of nearby glaciers. Once above the treeline the Matterhorn becomes visible over the ridge.

Did most of this from Murren as I wanted to take in the sunrise (and the cable car wasn't operating yet) and it was incredible. I definitely recommend getting up to Birg for the sunrise, but just know that if you're hiking from Murren it's a legitimate hike.

Stunning scenery beyond description. We hiked this last summer and are going back in 2 months.

Easy hike with awesome reward. Starts at a parking lot in Ciona next to Osteria Ciona. Walk through tiny town and next to several homesites before getting to the trailhead. Once you get to the top where the restaurant is and the disembark point for the cable car, use the restroom and take in the views to the southeast before heading up another hundred feet or so to the church. The top of the church provides the best panoramic views.

This is a very nice trek through beautiful scenery. The 3 huts along the trail are all excellent. Especially the Es-scha hut is a very traditional mountain hut with great food and views.. It is a popular trek to reservation of the huts in advance is recommended. For fit and experienced hikers this trek is not difficult. Recommended!

We did this loop in July of 2014. Can't begin to describe the view you have from this trail. The Swiss Alps are something. You have an ever changing view of the Eiger, the Monch, and the Jungfrau the whole way. The waterfalls cascading down the other side of the valley are too many to count. We began this hike from the town of Murren where we took the Funicular cable cars up to the top of Allmendhubel. From there we started hiking up the trail with the hopes of making it to the top of the Schilthorn. The trail is super steep right off the bat but mellows out some when you get close to the Schilthornhutte. Then from there you have a fairly gradual climb to where the trail is just below the Birg Tram station. This is where our hopes for the top ended. The trail was still snowbound, and they weren't even letting people hike down if they had taken the tram up. So we re-grouped and took another way back to Murren via the small lake that was below us. Once down at the lake, we crossed the outflow stream and then the descent from there was ridiculously steep. And it seemed to never end. We were glad to be back on semi level ground once we got off that pitch. We passed by what looked to be a spot where one could get a cold drink and maybe some eats. From there it was a steady downhill and then a slight climb back to where we started at Allmendhubel. We rode the cable car down to Murren to end our incredible sunny Swiss day. I would go back to Murren tomorrow if I could. It is a town with no vehicles. All walking. It sits on a 3000' cliff above the valley. It's something to see. This review barely scratches the surface of the beauty to be seen here.

One of the nicest hikes i've ever did, really amazing sights.
