Together with the rest of southern Ticino and the province of Como, Locarno belongs to the metropolitan region of Ticino defined by the Federal Statistical Office. At the T-junction, turn left towards "Madonna del Sasso" and continue towards the Cardada cable car. After about 3.5 km right to Monte Brè, San Bernardo the road always uphill. On the way there is a wonderful view of Ascona and Locarno when the weather is nice. Arrived in Monte Brè (1004m), continue downhill until you reach the forest road and take the direction of Cardada.
On the trail from Alpe Cardada you go downhill towards Val Resa, in serpentines on the hiking path, the journey takes some skill and driving technique from the driver. Finally, after a bend at km 23, you come to a small asphalt road, which you follow to the end.
