#1 - Lucerne: urban route
Luzern, Luzern, SwitzerlandLength: 5.3 mi • Est. 2 h 18 m
Very nice ballad that will take you from the shore of the lake to the medieval city center. Don't miss the Transport Museum before heading to the old town. Then you cross the Chapel Bridge, which measures 112 meters and dates back to the Middle Ages and is made up of painted triangular panels. Experts call it the oldest covered wooden bridge in Europe. The pedestrian zone of the old town hides many historic houses decorated with frescoes. Crossing the Spreuerbrücke is a feast for the eyes from the 15th century. Between 1626 and 1635 Kaspar Meglinger painted 67 panels depicting the theme of the dance of death. Strolling through the squares and sitting on the terraces of the old town are obviously part of a city visit.
