There are pretty passages in the woods. By cons I think there are too many tarmac roads for my taste.

I have not done a lot of course because it goes through several descents for mountain bike and it is forbidden to pedestrians !!!!! So I followed the official signs. The climb is not interesting. By cons Mount "Berra" is really worth the detour the panoramic view is breathtaking. I then went to "Cousinbert" which is a summit a little further and which also has a nice panorama and there is a picnic area. I then went down to the starting point by "The Brand" the trail is beautiful but there are many very muddy passages. Do not go after a wet period or a rainy day because generally there is a lot of mud and passages slippery enough I did this course with my dog.

From the center of Fribourg you can add this loop for about a 10k run. The woods are nice. It had just rained so a little muddy.

I did not do the full loop. The first mile on road up gorge is nice. At about 1 mile there are two waterfalls. It is worth it to go over the old covered bridge at start of the gorge. There are stairs and trail to top near main road and bridge.

Very nice hike, very well done. Small peculiarity, there are a lot of steps and stairs. I could not park in Friborg because the whole center was blocked by a sporting event, so I left Bourguillon. So I did not do the whole loop because of this famous event. On the way back I went through the trails of the peaks and 4a was worth a visit as there is a beautiful view of the old town of Friborg.

It was a great walk. Not as hard as we thought. As the climb was steady and just in a few areas steep. Up at the Käseberg the view was stunning. There were several places along the way to have a drink or something to eat. It probebly depends on the time of year wether they are open or not. During summertime there are cattle around. It was a great walk...would do it again!

Hiking with far too much tar in my opinion. I did not really appreciate it

Beautiful hike that starts in the woods and ends in the pastures with a magnificent view. All along the hike there are signs on the edge of the path that explain the making of the famous cheese "le Gruyère". The highlight is the cheese factory. I do not recommend doing it because there are slippery and muddy passages. I did this course with my dog.

Unfortunately we could only complete about half of the trail as there was heavy rain and grey clouds covering Mont Moléson as we got to mid way point. Judging by the clouds and wind, it wasn’t going to get better. The path itself was wide and well laid. On a dry day it would be been very pleasant. Other than having to avoid a lot of cow dungs, you get good views and an amazing summit ahead.

Since the Moléson the view is breathtaking, we have a 360 ° panorama. The panorama continues on the trail of ridges.

Loved this trail! We parked at Broc, missed the bus to Charmey, so hiked to the Gruyères Castle (beautiful hike and loved the castle too!). Then caught the bus from Epagny (bottom of Gruyères hill) to Charmey and hiked back to Broc. The whole hike was great, through paddocks, through the Jaunbach Gorge, around the Montsalvens lake, to the castle, up stairs. Was great!

Parked at Broc. But because we missed the bus to Charmey we hiked up to Gruyères Castle (lovely hike and great Castle!), then caught the bus from Epagny (just at the bottom of Gruyères Hill) to Charmey and walked back to Broc (past the Lake Montsalvens and through the Jaunbach Gorge). Was fantastic!

Beautiful, I made it in good weather but the trail was still wet, it was pretty slippery. I prolonged this hike by the tour of the lake, it is also very pretty but quite long with some nice climbs.

The trail starts from the Musersbergli station at top of funicular from Jaun. There is a loop that then circumnavigates the Gastlosen range - I recommend going clockwise for best lighting on the mountains, plus making the more difficult steep portions uphill rather than downhill (less likelihood for slippage). Some parts are on wide roads, some parts are on narrow portions in thick forest, some parts are on flatting trails through meadows with wildflowers, and some parts are on rocky granite over the Gastlosen (near Wolfsort, at south end). Lots of variety in terms of footing, scenery, etc. From the southeast part of the trail you can see the Swiss Alps to the southeast, which is very impressive. There are spots to eat at Grat (east side) and Soldatenhaus (west side). The trail takes longer than you would think, because of spots where footing needs to be deliberate, plus all the times you'll stop to take photos.
