An easy walk through cow fields and in the forest. There is some paved road at the beginning. We did it with two kids and a dog and made it a little longer than the official one. Still under 2 hours. Some pretty views from the top. A nice day hike from Geneva.

Nice trail that is easy to follow. We hiked in the opposite direction, but either way, you climb to the top and descend back down in a loop. The trail is a little shorter than we normally prefer, but lovely views from the top. Lac de Joncs itself was a bit underwhelming, more of a pond.

Very nice hike with different landscape

Very nice trail so many different options to choose from ...

Did this a little differently than described by the app. I started in Les Avants, and hiked up to Col de Jaman. Also scrambled up the peak to the north east called Les Coursis. It is an amazing view of the lake in the mountains, but be careful if you choose to go to Led Coursis, because the last bit is a very steep scramble.

I parked near the fire department, and started the trail which was a wide road for about a mile then kind of meandered through some hills And some forests, I made it up top where the castle was supposed to be I could not find any rooms, there was a park up there and some kind a monument and then I hiked back down to the car, not many views as you don’t gain much elevation other then up top.

The trail starts from the Musersbergli station at top of funicular from Jaun. There is a loop that then circumnavigates the Gastlosen range - I recommend going clockwise for best lighting on the mountains, plus making the more difficult steep portions uphill rather than downhill (less likelihood for slippage). Some parts are on wide roads, some parts are on narrow portions in thick forest, some parts are on flatting trails through meadows with wildflowers, and some parts are on rocky granite over the Gastlosen (near Wolfsort, at south end). Lots of variety in terms of footing, scenery, etc. From the southeast part of the trail you can see the Swiss Alps to the southeast, which is very impressive. There are spots to eat at Grat (east side) and Soldatenhaus (west side). The trail takes longer than you would think, because of spots where footing needs to be deliberate, plus all the times you'll stop to take photos.

Really lovely walk though the vineyards with incredible views of Sion and the valley. Great for jogging, too!
