Amazing hike at the feet of Eiger's North Face, looking at the rocks and passages that made the history of this wonderful wall.

Trummelbach is a fantastic touring attraction. Wasn't a distinct hike but there is alot of walking and stair climbing involved. Spectacular sight to see and certainly worth visiting.

Hiked from the top platform about 2 miles out and back on the ridge. Was a beautiful hike and was very easy once on the ridge.

Nice hike through the forest with stunning views of mountains, waterfalls, and wild flowers. We took the tram from Lauterbrunnen up to Grütschlap, then walked the ridge all the way to Mürren, on to Grimmelwald, then took the gondola down to the Lauterbrunnen valley.

Easy, flat walk and nice falls viewing area.

hiked from the bottom tram station to the overlook platform. didn’t go all the way across. the hike up to the platform was challenging. multiple trail extensions to add to a hike if you want. the hike goes through a cow pasture and has some amazing views on the way up. took 2 hrs up with some extra parts, 1 hr down. totally worth the hike to known at the top you earned the view!

this hike was amazing!! went the beginning of october and had perfect weather. i suggest going early so you are alone on the trail - so peaceful. i thoroughly enjoyed hiking bottom up. we took the train to alpigen and then hiked up to the Kleine Scheidegg station. this was cheaper and 30 mins more walking than catching the train at eigergletscher. overall took 2.5-3 hrs hiking with a 15 minute lunch break.

I trained all season to be able to concur this beast of a trail. It did not disappoint with the wonderful views. I'm s glad that I did it with a great friend.

I enjoyed this trail with my parents and grand daughter recently. The trail is easy enough for small children to walk while being able to feel that they are exploring a deep forest. The lake is small, crystal clear and beautiful. The water is so clear that you can see the fish!

Amazing mountain scenery the entire route. Highly recommended if you're in the Interlaken area.

It’s was ideal for a late afternoon hike, easy and flexible enough in case you need to do a shortcut if it gets dark.

An absolutely amazing hike, up with the best I have ever completed. Ive been to Switzerland 5 times so I am fairly accustomed to the landscape, but this hike took my breath away yet again!

Countless waterfalls (50+), Oberhornsee lake, a herd of Ibex, snow storm’s and (distant) avalanches... what else could you want!!

We completed this hike twice, 4 days apart, due to the first hike being completed in clouds with close to 20-50m visibility in below freezing conditions, and knowing what switzerland is, I knew we were walking past some jaw-dropping views, plus the reason we did this hike was because I wanted to hike to the glacier/point where the Lauterbrunnen River starts, and having poor conditions meant we were unable to find the answer.

A few days later we had a sunny clear day and completed the hike again which showed us the beauty that was originally being hidden from us. We had no regrets about doing the same hike again as this time our eyes were glued to the scenery, and we even went for a swim (twice) at Oberhornsee and enjoyed the view for hours!

Hike 1 - Loop (20km & 1300m) : Stechelberg-Trachsellauenen-Obersteinberg-Oberhornsee-Schmadribachfall-Schmadrihütte-Stechelberg

Hike 2 - Return w/miniloop (24km & 1200m) : Gimmelwald-Obersteinberg-Oberhornsee-Schmadribachfall-Oberhorn-Obersteinberg-Gimmelwald

Difficulty : Hard, both are very steep at times, tough and gruelling but well worth the result and views at the end. Just prepare your knees for the way down :) I would recommend doing the Hike 1 hopefully on a clear sunny day so you can swim at Oberhornsee, but if its a cloudy day and its your only chance, still do it, you will not regret it!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I walked this trail with a good friend in Oktober of 2017. We took the train to the station on Schynige Platte and hiked from there. The views of the Eiger, Monk and Jungfrau are beyond imagine. On the other side, the overlook of Brienzersee is equally stunning, more in the sheerness of the edge. There is a 2 meter section of the trail that narrows on both sides. It was all I could do to make it across. Had a great time and am looking forward to doing more hiking in this gorgeous country!

Stunningly beautiful trail. Winds through wooded areas, past cabins, but is largely open with beautiful views of the North faces of the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, and their neighbors. 2.5 hours with plenty of stops for photos, and some elevation gain but not too strenuous.

Nice easy hike with a few options for food along the way!

Absolutely stunning hiking trail! My partner and I did it twice while in Switzerland this past week. The first time it was really cloudy and misty the whole time and we could not see all the views in front of us, but when we got to the top it started to snow! It was magical! Since it was so cloudy we did it again on a clear day and it was well worth it! My new favourite hike in Switzerland!

Perfect way to spend the afternoon, watching the light change on all the giant peaks across the valley as clouds streaked by. The uphill out loop is the best part. Two nice places along the way to stop for beer and more soaking in of the view.

Stunning view of the Eiger and Grindelwald down there. Easier to hike downhill from Eigergletcher train station to Alpigen station. You’ll have the North Face of Eiger, a very tall 90 degree cliff shooting up in the sky on your right, and the green of hills around Kleine Scheidegg on your left. Most sections of the trail are green, while some are more rocky.

Great walk again after doing it 20 years ago. Shame the opening stretch was closed, but detour was fun.

Should be called the Schynige Platte Panorama Trail - very famous, very beautiful. Train takes you to the visitor center at the top, which has a little patio restaurant with literally the best views in the world (and I mean that literally literally, not figuratively). The Panorama Trail hike is pretty easy and very beautiful, and only a taste of the hiking in the area, but do it!!

Amazing hike that isn’t too long and easy considering the region.

This is an amazing hike. It did it with my wife and little girl on my back. There’s a lot of vertical, but the views are worth it. And there is a place to stop for a quick beer. Make sure you plan this correctly or you’ll buy an extra 45 minute hike downhill if the gondola has stopped running. Ask me how I know this.
