I hiked the trail from start until Björnstorp, which is about 80% of the way. From start until the turning point in the forest where you head north, the walk is fairly easy. When you head up north through the forest, it becomes much more difficult. The walk gets much more steep, and the terrain is very rough, often having to stop up and plan your next steps. Also, around the time you start going north, there is a point where you have to turn left to a vegetated area. Then in the follow-up you'll see a pole to the right which indicates you have to turn left. After a long sets of difficulties, I realized this. The vegetated area was slightly stamped on, otherwise I wouldn't have thought this was a walkable path (needless to say it isn't the easiest). Make sure you got a good amount of time to walk through the forest, because it will probably take a good amount of hours (atleast it did for me..) Once you get out, the path obviously gets much easier and you can begin making some quicker progress. Also, before you enter the forest there is a water source made available. The sign says the water is safe to drink, I did however use my water-filter to be sure. Other then that, I found drinking sources to be sparse, if even existent.

Helt ok vandringsled men inga stora sensationer.

Nice walk, easy 1 km to waterfall and picnic site (also accessible with strollers) and a walk through the woods back to the parkingsite.

Beautiful, but would not recommend. Not too rough trail, but incredibly overgrown. Quite clear not many people visit which is nice as well, because it's so quiet and you're more likely to see wildlife. Finding the trail seems harder than it is because of all the logging trails, but it's just behind the information sign. The road up here was pretty steep, so unless you have good ground clearance and all wheel drive, it can be quite hard to get up to the parking lot. The trail itself was quite hard to follow in some places, because it's pretty much not there anymore, but if you follow the trees marked with a red dot or stripe, you're fine. The view was worth it, but wouldn't visit if you're going for a light hike or expect something stunning.

Beautiful and typical landscape of the Swedish “bergslagen”. Along the trail you will find some waypoint from old silver mine ruins originating from the mid 1600’s. Many climbs along the path which add some nice views to the experience.

It was insanely busy for a Swedish trail, but given it was a famous national park, it was quite calm. The trail was really, like REALLY beautiful! The paths were wide and there were many beautiful sights. Would definitely visit again to explore more trails!

Ein schöner, gut markierter Wanderweg ohne Steigungen, immer am Wasser entlang. Sehr viele große, beeindruckende Bäume ( v.a. Kiefern und Buchen). Mehrere Plätze zum Pause machen, z.T. mit Feuerstelle.

Beautiful trail. In the woods the trail is pretty rocky and a couple of times you have to balance on rocks and logs to pass creeks. The scenery whilst walking in the tree limit is outstanding.

Started in Björkliden and did a point to point hike ending in Abisko. Highly recommend for a day hike. There is a bus that can take you from Abisko to Björkliden so it is very manageable. Be prepared for wet conditions and a some small river/water crossings.
