Chinyero Circular is located near Santiago del Teide, Spain. The trail is great for walking and normally takes 1-3 hours. Chinyero is the youngest volcano on Tenerife. It erupted in 1909 and the trail will bring you close to that century old explosion. You will see pine forests and the black ash and lava flows of the eruption. The scenery changes constantly as you circuit the volcano. It is well signed all the way around, though being a circular route, the signs never tell you how far you are from your own start point. The trail is in Teide National Park. There are many trails in the park and they make for an incredible trip through the islands. Show more

This route starts in Tamaimo and traverses up into the mountains of Teno Rural Park in Tenerife. This route does not go specifically to the popular El Bujero, but it is a small side trip from this route. This route passes through small tunnels so bring a flashlight! The popular Barranco de Masca hike is nearby. There are other trailheads to this area from the Los Gigantes side.Show more

Beautiful route with a lot of altitude change for experienced hikers. Along the way are a few tricky parts. You start from El Molledo's church square (church square) and walk up slightly from there. On the back of the first mountain you go left down to walk along the mountain to the next saddle. There you go straight on the junction (and leave the yellow / white path). After a bit along the rocks you go down. Narrow, sometimes slippery and between the bushes. In this way, the gap slowly starts again, from high to low. You cross a few water channels and arrive at an abandoned factory. Unlike Masca, you do not walk on the bottom but always left or right of the creek. That's how it goes to the sea. Once you reach the ocean, take a break before you start the intense hike back. On the way back, hikers may choose to take an alternative route back to the car. You will reach a junction, and you can take a right for the alternative path. It will go downhill slightly before reaching El Molledo again.Show more
