Perfect for the beginner. It was a easy to follow trail as the trail has clear white and yellow markings (the crossed white and yellow markings means that its the wrong trail) and built up stone barriers on either side of the trail. Lovely pine forests broken up with lava field crossings. Highly recommended for the beginners or the family.

Nice family hike. Easy for our 9&6 year olds and really interesting. The hike goes through the forest and the lava fields. Very contrasting areas.

It's a great track! The only advice is to make it clockwise and start with tunnel In this case last part will be not so pretty but you'll be glad to go down and take a rest)

Exciting trail! The tunnels (bring a torch!) get you in, and later out of, a beautiful valley. Finding the trail after the first tunnel is a bit of trial and error. At some point there’s a 3fork in the path and you’ll see a trail on the other side of the valley. Don’t be tempted to cross to the other side like we did; you’ll have to scramble your way down and back up to reach the 2nd tunnel (both tunnels are on the same side of the valley). The most tricky bit we found is getting down after the 2nd tunnel. Then follows a fantastic trail along the steep cliffs. Definitely not a trail for novices. As commented before; the last stretch from Los Gigantes back to Tamaimo is a boring steady climb, however the tunnels, valley and cliff trail make it well worth it.

Nice, level ‘moderate’, hike through the countryside, the forest and the lava fields. Especially the lava fields offer a unique experience. Proper shoes required as you’ll be walking over lots of loose, sharp lava stones.

wonderful hike. The views are incredible. You have to cross two tunnels. Be careful if you are not a good hiker. the part of the trail on the cliffs close to the sea is a bit narrow

Bonne rando :)

Extended Chinyero Loop! Fairly easy/ moderate hike through a wooded forest. We extended by useing the app and seeing other paths along the way. To note, I forgot to stop the route recording when we got back to the car so ignore the last bit of my recording.

Route described as moderate but quite difficult due to lots of rocks. Route either goes up or down and good balance is required, but.... magical views that really makes it worth the effort. Start from tamaimo centre (lots of parking space) and go down towards the sea since the steepest part is at the beginning of the hike.
