Pamplona is the most important city in the Autonomous Community of Navarra and very famous, among other attractions, for its San Fermín festivals, known worldwide as Sanfermines, declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest. On this section of the route, you will leave the city through the university area and pass through quiet towns surrounded by cereal fields making a stop along the way in the famous Sierra del Perdón, where legend has it that the devil appeared to a pilgrim dehydrated to offer water in exchange for rejection of God and owes its name to the 13th-century Basilica of Our Lady of Forgiveness. Upon reaching Puente la Reina, pilgrims from Camino Navarro and Camino Aragonés will meet in this beautiful town in Navarra.
