#2 - Ses Tres Creus - Penya des Migdia - Puig del Romaní - Platja Coll Baix
Alcúdia, Majorca, SpainLength: 9.1 mi • Est. 5 h 39 m
This hike from the peninsula in the north of the island combines two trails: 52 black and 51 red. To get to the parking lot you have to follow a narrow road along the sea. From the parking lot go up a wide path flanked by oleanders. Pass a monument and after about 20 minutes, a sharp turn to the right, you see a narrow road going up: the beginning of route 52. The trail first goes through the forest and then along the mountain. Nice exotic plants are found along the way. After a while it gets rocky and you have to walk close to the rocks. Then you see a narrow passage that opens on the other side along the gorge and where the chains hang for support. In the upper part a plateau has been made in which a cannon is placed.
Note: The final parts of the track to La Penya are difficult with many rocks to climb. It is important to follow the paint markers to stay on track.
