Los Volcanes Natural ParkLength: 5.6 mi • Est. 3 h 22 m
The Caldera Blanca trail starts from the town of Tinajo, a town on the island of Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands, continues through the Caldereta crater, about 300 meters in diameter, and ends with the spectacular Caldera Blanca volcano. The White Caldera or White Crater is an extinct volcano formed by a single volcanic eruption known to be the widest crater on the islands, with a diameter of 1,200 meters. The ascent is gradual, but it can be very windy at the top of the crater. It is important to wear good hiking shoes to avoid slipping on the volcanic rock.
