Easy to find and to follow the route. Great view to the coast and into the crater!

Knocked this one off whilst on hols with the family in Costa teguise. We parked off road at the base of the hill, which brought the length of the walk down to around 3km. If you head straight up the steep side, following the dried up stream, it should take no more than 30mins to the top if you have moderate fitness. Couple of stops to admire the view and to give your calfs a rest, it is very steep and the tiny volcanic rocks are like marbles to navigate. Once at the top its a great vista seeing all the way to the mountains to the north and the sea all the way to the airport in the south. It's a gentler walk back round the rim of the volcano, extinct of course just incase you were wondering. Plenty of wild flowers which I haven't seen before to admire, then a zigzag down a less steep but equally marbled track. Less than an hour and half all in with the return the longer section. Well worth a look if in the area and looking for a quick yomp.

Great hike, only complaint is that the wind does get a bit much after a while

we went up the south side. very steep and was slippy in parts after heavy rain. didn't make it all the way to the top and coming down was slow and steady. looking at others going up the east side seemed to look easier. not signposted . definitely wear good grip boots, bring hiking sticks if you have them..a jacket for the change in temp...and a phone just in case....

A pleasant walk with great views over Lanzarote and across to Fuerteventura. Can be windy and chilly on top regardless of weather at sea level.

A great walk. Very rough ground so need a good pair of stout shoes. i only walked 3 miles and back but was able to do the walk naked

There are several starting points in the neighborhood to the east of the volcano, all leading up the hill. One can walk around the caldera. The panoramic view on top is excellent, covering the western portion of Lanzarote. The trail is relatively easy, though it was quite windy on top.

Great trail through lava field by the ocean. Part of it is in the Timanfaya national park. The trail is mostly flat but full of sharp lava rocks. Nice views of volcanos.

Excellent hike. Initial portion through fresh timanfaya lava flow. Gravel trail with occasional sharp a-a lava sherds, wear hiking boots. The climb is steady and not overwhelming. Extremely windy on top today. Gorgeous view near and far. Watch for goats.

Great hike through lava rock and up the side of the crater, with the option to walk around the rim. Very windy up along the rim!! Beautiful views at top. Best hike on Lanzarote.
