Best trails in San Sebastián, Gipuzkoa

This route is part of a multi-week walk along the Camino del Norte, a pilgrimage route that begins in Irún and ends at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. It can be done in different stages and from different starting points. This route takes pilgrims along the wonderful coast of northern Spain, from the Basque Country, through Cantabria and Asturias, to Santiago de Compostela, in the center of Galicia. Legend has it that the remains of the Holy Apostle Santiago are buried there. Every spring and summer, many people follow these routes as a form of spiritual path or retreat for their spiritual growth. Instead of taking the funicular up, this is the route to walk to the top of Monte Igueldo. It's a combination of stairs and walking on the side of the road. This route is a bit of a challenge, but you'll be rewarded with epic views of La Concha as well as some rarely seen glimpses of the rugged coastline.
