(Voir photo).

HikingGreat!Over grownRocky

NOT an easy trail! We highly underestimated this short walk. Besides being steep at points the path is overgrown which could leave some scratches if wearing shorts. Part of the trail is made of stone stairs and an iron line as handheld. Due to rockfall this is damaged at a few points. So if you are in for this, like us, I highly recommend this short trail. The views are amazing and the cave entrance is nice and cool on a hot summer day. Please follow my recording and go left on the gravel path on the parking (equal to the main road). If you take the sandy path you'll come to a newly placed fence.

very nice route with lots of wild life around (mostly goats and birds). I would rate this route as at least moderate instead of easy, as last couple of hundreds meters before cave may be challenging for some poeole

Beautiful landscape. What I liked most was walking parallel to the river. I recommend proper shoes, a hat, lots of water and snacks. I think it is important to choose a month in which the heat is not suffocating, for example in May. Watch out for loose stones. Very busy path there are stretches where we have to stop to give way to those who come in the opposite direction.

Incredible hike. Be careful with footing, extremely rugged with small rocks that move under your feet. Can get really hit, no shade. Hike early morning or late evening avoiding noon day sun if possible. If your staying at hostel on other end, plan for plenty of time. They stop serving dinner fairly early. I’ll never forget the views...to die for. Rewarding hike. Goats greet you and old ruins to explore.

Enjoyable walk, no signage, you will need a phone with GPS to follow the trail. Great views from the ruins of Mirador d’Alzamora. Steep decline from there down to the caves (Cueva del Marmol). The caves are amazing!!! Worth the effort, I would class that part of the trail hard. You can climb all the way into the caves. Bring a torch! Stunning views the whole way, the rest of the walk was easy to moderate. Took us around 2hrs. Will do again!

This was an absolute highlight of our trip. I recommend you make a reservation at the refugio altavista so you can hike up early and see the sunrise at the top of teide! You can either take the cable car up the night before and hike to the refugio OR you can hike up via the montaña blanca route. I recommend the cable car. Then at 4:30 AM, everyone wakes up at the refuge and walks up to the top to see the sunrise together - it’s incredible. From there you can either hike back down or take the cable car.

Very nice hike in lonely and unspoilt nature. Partially pathless terrain with steep, rocky sections. Absolutely worth it!
