El Puigmal is one of the highest peaks in Cerdanya and is located on the border between France and Spain. Many hiking trails can start from here at this point and all of them are worth it for nature lovers. In winter, you can ski in the Valle de Núria ski resort. This route is one of the most beautiful and popular in all of Catalonia and the Eastern Pyrenees. This trail is known as El Camí Vell and it is a wonder of nature for hiking, outdoor sports and enjoying the magical surroundings of the Vall de Nuria. In ancient times this path was used by pilgrims as a pilgrimage route to reach the Sanctuary of Nuria. There is a train known as the "rack railway" that runs 12 and a half kilometers and runs through part of this Valley.Show more

The path leads to the impressive Noucreus ravine, with a climb that is not too difficult since it is progressive, it is common to see the marmots that inhabit this area and the views throughout the way are amazing. From the top of Noucreus you can see the Picos del Racó, the Fossa del Gegant and the Puigmal. Highly recommended!Show more
