The Camino de Santiago or French Way leaves the province of Burgos to enter the province of Palencia, passing by the Pisuerga river and its famous bridge known as "Puentefitero", from which you can see Itero de la Vega, a small town in Palencia in the you will find the Church of San Pedro and the hermitage of La Piedad. On this route you will pass through towns with monumental artistic value, such as Frómista and its famous Romanesque church of San Martín or Villalcázar de Sirga, where you will find its majestic parish church of Santa María and where you can stop to eat a good pilgrim menu and recharge the Stacks in the famous Mesón de Villasirga, obligatory break on the Camino de Santiago. In Carrión de los Condes you must visit the Monastery of San Zoilo and stop to contemplate the frieze and the cover of the Church of Santiago from the end of the 12th century.
