Rented bikes at the 'estatcion Via Verde' in Olvera. Friendly staff, bikes in very good condition. The trail itself is suoer nice and peaceful! Pro tip: don't drink to much beers on the way back to Olvera..! Better safe up till you made it :)

22 May ‘19 - 3 Jun ‘19, most amazing experience to date. not sure if this trail accounts for the hospital route or the pola route, but I took the hospital which may add more elevation to what is posted. Weather was mild, at times chilly and never hot, and the Austurian portion of the journey makes the journey worth it. The trails are mostly dirt/gravel, but in Galicia get quite rocky and not very comfortable. I had no issue with water, food, or shelter along this hike, as the people are very patient and welcoming and the hostaleros are very helpful. If you want a moderatley challenging experience with gorgeous views or are just interested in the Camino, the primitivo is the best and I can’t wait to come back

Absolutely stunning trail most of the time. From south to north, in the right season, lots of wildflowers and enough variation in fauna and flora. Interesting historical features along the way, and cafes and albergues aplenty. Enjoyed this 7-8 week walk/hike very much. Didn’t find it hard overall but there were certainly some tough sections. Most of the trail very good to walk on, with only some rocky or after rain sticky mud sections. Moderate amount of on-road walking involved which we found harder on our feet than anything else.

Just finished this stage of the Camino. It was very enjoyable-despite a few days of rain. Mostly up and down , some pavement, some old country roads. Beautiful countryside, farm animals, small villages, old stone walls and fabulous knotty old trees. Wonderful.

Easy day on wide, well maintained gravel (For most of the trek) pathway. Recommend leaving Nájera early to have breakfast in Azorfa

The trail is beautiful and peaceful. Not many pilgrims in September but I never felt alone. Safe. If you make it thru the first day from Hunderrabia the rest is easier. This was my first Camino. Usually people do this trail after they have done at least one Camino. It can be done. I was 58 and not an avid hiker and completed it in 37 days

Today is our first day on the Camino and is also the longest hike I've ever done. It was very challenging just because of the distance. My feet are killing me but the hotel we're staying at has a foot massage chair and worth the 2 Euros. We were invited by our sweet friends to the Camino as a marriage retreat. we are excited to see how far we can push ourselves physically and mentally.

Hiked the Camino Ingles in May 2016. It is a fantastic route through Galicia with Albuerges in regular spacing along the way. A great mix of charming towns, countryside, and ending in the beautiful Santago de Compostela. If you want to go on a complete Camino but don't have the time to walk from France, consider the Camino Ingles.
