Easy trail but steep at some points. The views on top are worth it.

NOT an easy trail! We highly underestimated this short walk. Besides being steep at points the path is overgrown which could leave some scratches if wearing shorts. Part of the trail is made of stone stairs and an iron line as handheld. Due to rockfall this is damaged at a few points. So if you are in for this, like us, I highly recommend this short trail. The views are amazing and the cave entrance is nice and cool on a hot summer day. Please follow my recording and go left on the gravel path on the parking (equal to the main road). If you take the sandy path you'll come to a newly placed fence.

This is a pretty easy trail, but it goes through a lot of sand along the beach paths, which makes it slow for a big section in the middle. I took a detour over to Cala del Príncipe (which is a more difficult trek), a gorgeous and secluded beach (seemingly popular with nude bathers, just FYI). The AllTrails route actually just goes up into the cliffs and turns around, but if you connect with some of the national park trails, you could do a bit of a loop. Also, bring twice as much water as you think you’ll need. There is nowhere along the path to get water and no bathrooms, because the beaches are secluded. And I lost cell service for a bit, so I’m glad I downloaded the offline maps to use with GPS.

A must-do trail when you are in the area. The trail is challenging but not any problem if you are fit. The rocks are amazing and quite unique. We did this trail on a hot summer afternoon, bring a lot of water as there is not much shelter for the sun.

The route shown isn't the full or only loop (it's for the Cortijo del Hornillo), and the complaints about the view change when you cross to the north side of the Genil. The route then becomes 22.5 km but the views are unbeatable with the back range in view at every turn. There's a steep ascent after crossing the river, a bit of route-finding past Refugio de la Cucaracha, and steep downhill down to the river at the back of the canyon before you turn to come back. https://treksierranevada.com/downloads/VeredaEstrellaLoop.pdf?fbclid=IwAR1UC-bERk2zns5WE6fZzUHSCmUpIFUZ4Mm5LR3qRey7KY4U5TRLi5X-_mU

Wandeling aan de rand van de Sierra de las Moreras naar een heel bijzonder rotsblok dat als offersteen zou gebruikt zijn. Laatste stuk zonder pad dus op GPS wandelen.

Pleasant trail, light traffic in January. Great views, especially from the summit, which requires that you take the Sendero Istan Ojén for the last push to the spectacular outlook.
