Beautiful, isolated and challenging. All the important factors for a good hike

Best outdoor app

Not technically very difficult, just a long and steep climb. It took about 3 hours to complete with frequent breaks. We took the cable car back down. Definitely recommend this hike, it has a beautiful view.

Beautiful view, paved route throughout.

Hectic and really hard but well worth it

Scenic level hike - great at sunset

Beautiful place

Great views the whole way! Cold beer at the top! Did this trail December 2014 .

One of the most amazing trails I have ever enjoyed!

Great hike. Used hikeraddict guide, Martin. Excellent guide.

Super easy trail with amazing views. This trail is good for older adults or kids.

This trail has incredible views! It has some difficult scrambling sections as well as a section with metal staples and chain ropes for a vertical climb. You can take your dog, but unless you're ok with carrying your dog up the vertical section, its best to take the alternate trail around to reach the top. I highly recommend this trail but go prepared!

Location is incorrect. Pinetown is not in the Western Cape, but in Kwazulu-natal.

Awesome secluded beach for a relaxed beach day!

no dangerous route, many beautiful vieuws, every 50m up gives another vieuw over cape- town.

I love South Africa and Cape Town is a beautiful city and no better way to see it but from the top of table mountain

Great hike in the city. Well marked and amazing 360 degree views. Moderate is the right rating as there are some sections with exposure. More difficult routes with scrambling options available. If you want to find Wally's Cave: go past the first ladder (do not go up it), go the old bench and go DOWN to the LEFT, traverse until you see an opportunity to scramble up to the right. If you go too high you'll end up on a flat lookout with a steep drop off

Hike this one in the spring and you'll be rewarded with streams and wildflowers. The views at the top are incredible.

Awesome trail! Beware...if you follow this route turn by turn, there is a ton of rock climbing up some slippery paths. Be sure to wear waterproof shoes, as there are some soggy spots. We took the cable car down the other side. Overall pretty demanding trail but the views are worth it!

The footpath is never away from the road. Try not to get there around sunset because the road t'es really noisy.

Nice 360 outlook on the city (north), Table Mountain (east) and 12 Apostles. Rocky footpath, mind your ankles !

Take the time to hike along the reservoirs as well !

For those with poor athletics conditioning it would be very hard. The path is very uneven recommend to use a tracking shoes instead of a running one. Take at least 1 l of water per person.
The view is amazing!

Sunrise hike did not disappoint. Quick 45 minutes to the summit and a lot of people on the trail early so it felt very safe. Definitely do this hike.

I believe there were several routes to the top...we took the most direct. Was basically an hour and 1/2 scramble. Really an awesome little hike.
