Great trail however a bushfire had recently gone through...so no shade. Also 35 degrees made it tough.

Good hike. Though try to get there early if you want to avoid noisy crowds. The trail can get really busy.

Great trail, well marked, clean and safe. Clean flush toilets and showers. Lots of game giraffes, buck, etc. Safe parking lot, and they sold hot coffee! Love it!

Very nice easy trail. There are some rocky bits at the start and then towards the finish. The rest is of the surface is quite nice with nice views. I will come again.
Very nice picnic spot for the family whilst you rock the trail. Very nice views along way, some tricky sections, which obviously makes for loads of fun. Will do this again soon
Great trail for exercise. Rocky ups and downs and many opportunities to run. Great workout and always clean and secure.
Was exhausted, but loved the view.
Gates open at 07h00 and be sure to bring cash along as their sign reads no cheques or credit cards. They do have a card machine but it wasn't online so I'm not sure if it'll work. I really enjoyed running this trail! Quite rocky and technical at times so took it slow over these parts. There were some flatter stretches as well where you can open up a bit. Overall I'd rate it a moderate trail and would like to return to try improve my time.
Great outdoor exercise
I definitely enjoyed this hike. Good elevation and technical most times, definitely need to keep your wits about you. I’m off to a three day and two night hike in the Berg soon and this was definitely good practice!

Great hike, so close to JHB - a great way to visit mama nature without needing to stay overnight. It's about 3.5hrs or 4 hrs to do the Bokmakierie trail - there's game to be seen as well!
