I hiked from mosselbay to Pinnacle Point on the trail and it was rather easy with excellent views. Apparently it gets harder from that point on.

Fantastic. Quite hard over the rocks and boulders. Remember to take water.

Let's start by declaring that the trial provides access to beautiful scenery. High level cliffs, flowers, rock hyrax (dassies), sea birds. However, this is not a trail for the couch potatoes. Rather book a gholf cart at Pinnacle Point... The paths are typical mountain paths, rocky, uneven, slippery in many areas. Small sections close to Mosselbay are flat and sandy. Close to Danabay is on the beach. The rest (90%) is up and down, around the coves, over the "points"... Look at the trail stats... The information board at the start in Mosselbay suggests 6 hours. We did it just over 5, with 30 minutes (max, cumulative) stops for water and photos. I am a hiker, fit, but hike for fun, not to race... I took 750ml water with me, not enough! Fortunately the guard at Pinnacle Point was gracious to fill up our bottles. Doing it as a round trip, I salute you! As closure, it is a great walk, beautiful... Thanks to my son for accompanying me and share this pleasant experience.

Steep in sections; a few scrambles. Breathtaking views of Lion's Head, and lightly trafficked. Roughly 60 min. hike to reach the MCSA hut.

Enjoyed the hike! Weather was perfect and it was just the right challenge. Would do it again

Day visitors park a short 5 minute walk from the starr of trail. Trail details that it's a 3 1/2 return trip, however as moderately fit people we completed it in 2hours including 20 mimites at the actual waterfalll and photo stop along the way. There is some scrambling across foreshore rocks, however, is still more than suitable for young children (7+). Unfortunately there was limited water flow when I visited, but am sure in all it's glory would be quite majestic.

Gates open at 07h00 and be sure to bring cash along as their sign reads no cheques or credit cards. They do have a card machine but it wasn't online so I'm not sure if it'll work. I really enjoyed running this trail! Quite rocky and technical at times so took it slow over these parts. There were some flatter stretches as well where you can open up a bit. Overall I'd rate it a moderate trail and would like to return to try improve my time.

Great course for hiking and running, also it's got amazing Indian Ocean views. For hiking this is an easy course as you can take your time and plan your foot landing, but for trail running this course is a bit more rugged with the ground being varied, it's quite rocky, in some areas it's got gravel, sand and some mud. Elevation is varied with some steep inclines and declines. The views are amazing, it's about 11 km if you start from the harbour and end at the Pinnacle Point Club House, of course it continues all the way to Dana Bay which ends up being a total of approx 13km. Of course in both directions it adds up to about 27km.

I definitely enjoyed this hike. Good elevation and technical most times, definitely need to keep your wits about you. I’m off to a three day and two night hike in the Berg soon and this was definitely good practice!

Most beautiful trail along the tsitsikamma coast! Able to see lots of wild animals ( otters ! , dolphins, birds,...). Hiking day 4 was really hard, with several river crossings, but definitely worth it! In summer take your swim clothes as you can go into the ocean in every beach! Accept a bit more weight of your backpack for the first night (the track is really short) and enjoy a nice evening dinner and drinks At the first huts!

I enjoyed it. Will do it again

Excellent beautiful hike. One for the bucket list!

its quiet amazing and the scenery awesome

Great hike, so close to JHB - a great way to visit mama nature without needing to stay overnight. It's about 3.5hrs or 4 hrs to do the Bokmakierie trail - there's game to be seen as well! Full youtube review https://youtu.be/LY4nIzqb4PU (or search for "Bokmakierie" or "Suikerbosrand"). No streams or rivers so bring water.

Incredible trail along the edge of the Drakensberg escarpment. One of the best hikes around. The official trail consists of eight unmarked checkpoints but there is so much beautiful scenery that you won't go wrong by going off course. The views from the edge to the Underberg 4,000 feet below are unforgettable. Typically hiked SOBO from the Sentinel Car Park to Bushman's Nek. Fees are required for Royal Natal National Park and Giant's Castle. All hikers should sign the Mountain Rescue Register at their point of entry. Amphitheatre Backpackers is a great stay either before or after your hike.
