The hike is great but heavily trafficked. it is even hard to find a spot on the summit. But the view is well worth it.

Great views and variation in the hike

This hike was nuts! Very challenging, very rocky, but completely worth it. It's a really long day hike, 4 hours up and 4 back minimum and not including breaks. You'll have to park on the road and walk to the trailhead via a paved road, it's very scenic. You'll head into the woods and cross over a river flowing out of the mountains multiple times. As you head up, you'll be on some rocky switchbacks to reach two lakes. From there the climb gets more vertical. There are some spots where you have to pull yourself up with chains and a few ladders. About 45 mins before the peak, there's a hut where you can get some hot meals, drinks, beers, and even souvenirs. I think you can stay there overnight too. There's an outhouse nearby. From there the summit is a tough vertical scramble on wiggly rocks, but you'll be rewarded with amazing views of Poland and Slovakia. One of the best hikes I've done!

Beautiful route! We took the cable car up and then hiked down past all the waterfalls. It rained on us the whole time but was beautiful nonetheless. Not too steep or challenging, but the paths are very rocky overall. Would recommend! :)

The 4.8 miles indicated by this trail map does NOT include the road portion to return to your car. Sorry but this is my first try adding a trail and I couldn't figure out how to get it to map that section. We parked in the large parking area and took the gondola up. There were very few hikers on the trail when we were there but we have heard it is quite busy in the summer. The visibility was poor but when the clouds did clear there were good views. The first section is built on flat rocks but eventually turns to an easy trail. The trail is well marked. We looped back to where it hooks up to a paved road and followed that back down to the lodge and parking area but you could continue on a trail that is under the gondola.

You can't walk this trail in winter, because then it seems to be part of a skiing resort. We walked an alternate trail of 6 km in the area and it is certainly stunning.

Super

Beautiful trail that connects with a bunch of other routes

Due to a recent thunderstorm, most of the trail was open without trees, so if the weather is warm, take at least 2 liters of water per person. Waterfalls were worth of seeing and the trail was in good condition.
