great, easy, relatively flat beginning to the West Highland Way. Hiking out of Milngavie is easy, on a well maintained path. it doesn't take long for big crowds to stretch out. The part from Gartness on the road is hard on the feet but the Duncan Family stand has a nice place and provides a nice break. If you keep going to Balmaha, you will skip Drymen unless you turn left before heading on the path along nice trimmed edges. Great way to ease into a 96mile hike.

Good conditions, perfectly signposted and no real challenge other than some road walking at the end which isn’t great on your legs and feet if carrying any old injuries with you.

Lovely wee walk if you just want something short and refreshing. Loved the LOTR/GOT style rocks midway round.

Not the best running route, there’s a huge marsh across the top between two of the wee hill peaks that makes it really tough to get a decent run. I was in knee deep at one point! They’ve also put a deer fence up which makes it a bit confusing as to where one should run so as not to end up doing half the second part of the loop on the road. Nothing to write home about, but still a good climb.

Moderately easy walk, difficult if it's been raining. Amazing view of Loch Lomond and great sunset, if the weather permits

Wonderful two days of walking. Signage is excellent. Lots of wonderful folks along the way. No other Americans yet

Walk to reservoir is fine, once you start to walk around reservoir conditions worsen would recommend Gaiters.

Easy walk, with nice views from the top. If you do the trail after rain prefer the right path and avoid the loop as the flat parts to the left become very wet and muddy. If it is sunny and dry, find a soft spot at the top and take a nap!!

Nice wee walk, few little steep bits but you could do this with a child easily
