Sadly, i picked a day when the wind & rain was coming sideways. Getting to the summit, myself & a few others were unsure if we actually at the top due to minimal visibility. Probably a wasted climb due to not getting the views from the top, but definetily re-climb sometime soon. Nearing the summit can be a little bit of a scramble & slippy underfoot in the rain.

Nice trail with great views but you should o my do it on dry days! The trail was already very muddy and shortly before the summit Petrus hit us hard. The trail literally became a river so we had to run back to the start and we’re absolutely soaked. Would do it again tho :)

I have did this hill many times, once as a kid then as a father of 2 girls. looking forward to doing this again with my grandson. It's a great workout for your legs, carry light. Remember you're water.

nice walk around Balloch castle and park. We only did 3.8 km loop as it was starting to rain.

Hiking with great views. It climbs quickly but the trail is nice. We missed the loop back, it was not indicated at all and we had to get lost. So we did a round trip but it was great.

Beautiful trail. Knees need to be in solid condition. Views are worth it.

Short easy walk. Also known as the Fairy trail. A lot of effort has gone into building the fairy houses. A must if you have young kids.

This was a beautiful walk. I'm a total novice climber and overweight. I found this quite steep at parts and a short scramble at the top. There's a ledge half way up if you don't want to all the way. Views still great. Although most of the walk is 'stepped' they have worn away in parts so you need to make do. Walking sticks advised for coming back down if you're like me and get jelly legs decending. Awesome ice cream at the bottom.

This record includes a couple of missed turnings which we did too(!) but not for long to double back and easily spotted in advance by zooming into the map. End point recorded here is not the official end point which is at Strathblane and which we realised after just leaving Carbeth Loch and was easy to follow the signs too rather than this recording. NB Easier to follow the official route to the end as don't lose height and have to climb back up to Strathblane.

Good and clear path all the way up. Good easy hill for beginners.

Amazing views and very doable with children too

Did two sections from Callander to Killin and from Acharn to Pitlochry for a total of 44 miles. Beautiful scenery along a former railway route, over sheep grazing pastures and through forests. Along the way there are many fine pubs and even a top-notch chocolate shop. Highly recommended.

A great hikes with stunning views!

I would recommend this trail to novice hill walkers. it's well planned out with steps in place at some of the steeper parts. I completed the walk with a baby in a carrier on a warm sunny day and it was very doable and the views are so beautiful! it's a fast hike so I'd recommend light gear and wind proof gear. we then had a delicious meal the restaurant at the bottom of the hill after completing the walk, very pleasant day with family.
