Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park is a striking natural landscape on the western side of Scotland. The first of Scotland's two national parks, this 1,865 square-kilometer park offers incredible views of Loch Lomond, the Scottish Highlands, and steep rocky munros. The park actually straddles the Highland Boundary Fault, splitting the area into both highlands and lowlands. These two areas have distinct differences in topography and geology. Loch Lomond itself is great for canoeing, sailing, and swimming. Visitors to the park will find many kilometers of walking trails, for all fitness levels. Many animals and unique birds call the park home, so wildlife-viewing and bird-watching are a popular here.Show more
