The loop I took was 7 miles, not 4.4. Lovely trail. Beautiful views. Well kept and frequently traveled near the car parks, but less populated and equally well kept further out. Highly recommend.

This was a fun hill walk on a good trail. It was rather blustery and cold since it was Autumn and we were dodging minor rain showers all day but there was also plenty of sunshine. Beautiful scenery all around and particularly from the top of Ben Vrackie.

To get from Kenmore entails pavement walking to the bottom of the Glen Quaich road. From there the single track, paved road winds up to the turn off to the actual trail. The trail itself consists of a broad path through the forest area followed by a decent farm track all the way to Acharn. From there you have to hoof it along the Loch Tay, south side road back to Kenmore. There is traffic, but they respect the "walk friendly" signs.
From the trail the Ben Lawers range is visible as is Loch Tay below. Views of Kenmore are great on a sunny day. Lots of sheep around with the occasional deer, pheasant and grouse. Instead of the farm road down from the second bridge over the Acharn Burn, there is a nice trail down the east side with bridge viewpoints of the Acharn falls. The trail also ends in Acharn village.
It's a convenient walk from Kenmore, with no transport required, hence I have done it 34 times during my annual pilgrimage from South Africa.
