Easy walk you can do in 4 hours. nice day out

Stunning. Public transit brought me close to the castle which was incredible. Decided to walk back to Stonehaven and the views of the ocean and glancing back at the castle were gorgeous. Plus you can check out the Stonehaven War Memorial as you walk by! Very easy terrain.

Great walk. Perfect for dogs. Really easy route. Vertical climb most the way. Carpark in perfect location. Remember to bring £3 for the charge (even on sundays and after 5) great rock shot you can get at the top. Busy busy trail

Absolutely phenomenal hike! Stunning views, challenging terrain and weather and when I got to the top... you can laugh at how cheesy this is but I actually shed tears. Ive travelled and seen beautiful landscapes but this was dazzling beyond anything I have been privy to.
Take plenty of layers; we went on a 28c sweltering summers day and it was exceedingly thick snow towards the summit.

Fun hike. At the start there is a steep incline for about 30-40 minutes until you reach the dam. From there, you hike the right bank and gradually go up to the first peak. The view gets better with every foot of elevation. Distances look close but were deceivingly for, possibly due to snowy conditions. Would recommend to start early in the day, not noon like us :)

Fun hike with good views. From the start it’s a fairly steep climb for about 30-40 minutes. Once you make it to the dam you walk along the bank and slowly gain elevation. The higher you go, the better the views. The best view of the hike is at the other side of the reservoir (north side). Would recommend to start early in the day if you aim to do the full route.

Bit icy along the path yesterday but views and weather were spectacular.
Walk itself is full of big steps at the start but then eases to a normal hill walk.
Definitely take your camera, definitely go to the wee coffee shop across from the car park.
