Good family-friendly walk!

Absolutely stunning. The trailhead is a little hard to find (look for the pie shop and follow the sign posts!), but completely worth it. If it has rained, be prepared to get a little muddy and maybe even jump a few small creeks. Views are amazing and sheep are everywhere. Saw a few lambs nursing along the trial.

The trail and the pools are often crowded. Worth seeing if you have a little extra time, but Old man of storr, fairy glen and the Quiraing trail would all be better. Still beautiful though.

Nice waterfall view, but heavy clear-cutting makes the rest a bit lacking.

This is a wonderful trail for people who don't want to go too much off the beaten track. It's covered in concrete, but at times quite steep, so still a challenge. There are some beautiful views of steep cliff faces and basalt beches. A delight for anyone who liked birdwatching; there are plenty of seagulls, but also cormorants and gannets galore. It is getting more popular, but is not too crowded quite yet.

very pretty hike (beautiful landscape) where you have to choose between free parking 3 miles or paid parking at the start of the hike.

Excellent, family-friendly walk. There are different trails for all abilities.

Excellent. Amazing family-friendly walk with fantastic scenery and views. Different trails for all abilities.

Yes, there was lots of people but the fairy pools are beautiful and there is something new around every corner. It was great fun. You shouldn't miss it.

Absolutely beautiful hike! The first part of the trail has been clear cut to get rid of invasive coniferous plants and then replant native broadleaf plants. If you're concerned about parking, delay your like until after 2 PM. There was loads of parking later in the afternoon. I was there earlier and parked a bit up the road and then hiked to the traihead. It wasn't a bother, I was there to hike anyway.

Hike through the woods and around the loch. Parking is located right next to the loch but paying. Otherwise a footpath will take you from Rothiermurchus to Loch.

To get to trailhead from car park. Go downhill along the road just past the first cottage on your left. Turn left into a driveway. You will see that the driveway splits-one way goes towards the cottage to your left. Go through the iron gate straight ahead of you. You are on the path. It's muddy in spots. Your best experience would be on a sunny day if you can manage it.

Nice walk was hoping for more views of Loch Ness. Good little leg stretch before Ben Nevis tho

Hiked it on June 23rd, great weather and trail conditions! Ground and to summit in 2hr40min via the Youth Hostel trail. Trail is almost entirely stone-step style until the halfway point at the waterfall, then turns to switchbacks on loose rocks until you reach the summit. Great views of the surrounding glens, and be ready to encounter mountain sheep! While steep with constant elevation gain, nothing about this trail is inherently challenging-unless you decide to go off trail and scramble over the loose sections-and is suitable for all skill levels, there were even a fair amount of kids on the trail! If you can put one foot in front of the other, you can conquer this trail!

Nice views of woods and clearings. Beautiful wild flowers!

Nice hike, we made 5:40, with breaks around 30 minutes. We found it easier than Mount Washington. ... I do not say it's easy, but it's good.

Whoa. It started as a rocky scramble, then followed the ridgeline into small downhill streams, boggy marsh, and into a muddy small trail covered with a fern forest. Very slippery. Be careful after rain, especially with the initial rocky scramble. Still worth the adventure
