Busy but incredible destination on a short hike. Lots of dog crap left lying around though. Clean up after your pooches people!

The middle section passes through a large clear cut. Views from the fort across to Ben Nevis and down the glen were fantastic though. Also, the track on the listing starts from inside a private campground. The actual public trailhead is from the Braveheart parking area.

Really enjoyable hike, rocky in places but largely comfortable to do! Great reward at the end with the waterfall too. Views were fantastic and the wire bridge added something new! Would recommend! Try and park at the top if you can, other wise adds another 1.6 miles ish but still comfortable to do. It says no through road but easily drive along a lot further, car park does get busy!

Very busy car park, obviously well known, rocky trails, good footpaths, when near the waterfall can be boggy, was amazing on the wire thing.

we only went from abriachan to dumnadrochit but this was just a straight-forward, easy to follow route with some lovely inclines and a beautiful woodland portion too!

One of the very best reward for effort views around. You also get a great view of the Ben Nevis path so if you plan on doing that I would advise walking up here to get a preview. If you have less time there is a much shorter but steeper path to the top out of Fort William.

Great trail one of my favourites. Took a 7 & 5yr old on it who aren't used to hiking and they managed just fine. It is a fairly narrow path, mainly biggish rocks so uneven but made it a lot of fun. Definitely can't take a buggy and i personally wouldn't be happy with a front carrier as you really want to see where your feet are going. It does cross a number of v small streams and waterfalls. Most are a tiny gap, a couple are a bit more of a scramble but nothing major. Good footwear definitely helps as the path was wet when we did it with a few unavoidable puddles. Also smidge and a net as in places the midges were particularly terrible when we went.

WalkingGreat!

Nice moderate hike close to town with great views. We did the whole circuit around the hill as opposed to the recorded out and back route, and the two sides of the hill are quite different (one is very sunny and exposed, the other is a cool shaded forest area). Very few other people on the trail on a Thursday.

This is a great trial to walk, but DO NOT attempt it on a bike, it’s not possible!

we started in Inverness and mad our way to for Augustus around 70 km. some really tough inclines and declines, but absolutely worth it for the views and wild camping spots!

Ran here as part of a big WHW trip. Quite steep to the summit. Not a great deal left from the actual Iron Age fort, but the views are majestic.
