Well maintained, a bit rocky and some tree roots. Glad I was wearing boots. Lovely.

Great trail but is definitely hard on the knees. Great sights and views across Loch Lomond. Goes up and down constantly. Can be slippery, so keep focussed.

Did the whole way quite a few years ago. But now I would only do stages. This one is moderately flat. But gives you a good taste of what's on the menu on the rest of the west Highland way. If you dare. Enjoy. You will.

Lovely easy walk through probably Glasgows most popular park for familys. Well maintained pathways with nice woodland areas to walk through. Great day out for the kids.

Lovely easy walk through nice well maintained paths. Waterfall is worth a visit. Some woodland areas also that are easy to walk through.

Beautiful countryside path. I strongly taking the road going up Conic Hill. It is an long, easy ascent..the descent is really hard on the knees especially if you have been hiking since Milngavie! Great reward at the end with the Oak Tree Inn and the coffee and ice cream shop!

Gentle walk on well maintained paths. Mix of open areas and woodland, even has a waterfall. plenty of parking at garden centre entrance.

Wee easy trail

Lovely walk. Took the high road which was less rocky and roots. Passed through stately forests. Views of the Loch all along the way.

Nice hike 3 major uphills if you are walking south to north.

Easy to follow section of the way. Steady uphill to Conic Hill cutoff. After hill steep but easy downhill even for a short legged woman

No one walks 100 miles in the Scottish rain without a reason to do so! I walked it to find myself after a difficult period in my life. So glad that I did. It was wonderful. On my first night I stayed at a fabulous hotel called Ardoch House Hotel. Truly exceptional. It is also a nature retreat offering yoga, reiki, etc. Seriously cool. If I am honest that was the best place that I stayed at over my 6 day/night walk. Great value for money too. If you are walking the WHW then stay here on your first night for some hippy luxury.
