The city does a good job taking care of it. Very easy to do and by the ocean so great views!

Trail is open again. Parts of the trail closest to the cliffs have broken off into the sea after the quake. There are spots to go around for a few but I got about 3/4 of the way down and didn’t see where the trail was going to pick up if I tried to find a new way through. Beautiful view though. Highly recommend.

entered route 1. met by forestry crew who confirmed the main cave was closed. but indicated a second cave past where 1 turns into 21. Cave entrance is down a steep path recently cut. cave was worth the extra 1/4 mile hike.

Beautiful! Rocks are very slippery at the 1st waterfall and water is cold. 2nd waterfall not slippery just very rocky and colder water than the 1st but all very worth it!

Beautiful hike! took my 3 kids (6,10,13) all had a great time. Saw lizards, birds, hermit crabs, crabs and of course lots of shells. The end of the hike is very rewarding, you'll want to stay awhile.

walked trail yesterday, after 3days of rainfall. Directions to trail were excellent. Ranger Martinez explained that cueva del viento is closed (bummer). He gave us a map. Surprise: there are many trails in bosque. We took #1 towards cave. Trail in very good condition after heavy rain. Found the locked cave entrance and continued to take a different trail back. Most trails were closed, so came back same way. I will go back to explore more.

Great trail to a secluded beach. I would say this is more of a “moderate” trail as there are several roots, steep climbs and rocks to scramble over along the way. Also, highly recommend water shoes with a good sole for this hike.

Amazing trail plenty of shaded areas. Rocks were slippery you do need some water resistant shoes. They don’t allow you to die from the higher rocks but it is pretty safe to die from the lower clips. There are two waterfalls and plenty of strange that you can walk and get to along the river trail. It is about a 2 mile hike a little busy for a Tuesday morning. I started at 11:30 in the morning no rain ended at 2:30 PM so it’s about a 2 to 4 hour day.

Although there is no parking space, it was a fun short round trip and hike. It has a nice place in the mountain to sit down, have lunch and a friendly dog nearby.

Incredible hike! perfect for taking in nature, and going for a swim to cool off on a hot day. Recommend water shoes or flip flops for some of the jagged rocks in the water but not a necessity. $5 parking fee and they only accept cash! Don't make the same mistake we made.

Did trail 1 to Cave of the Winds. Great hike, would recommend going up to the lookout to see the tree canopy. Quite a few trees knocked down over the path due to recent earthquakes but all passable. The park ranger told us the cave was closed but we went down no problem. Had the whole park to ourselves.

Awesome trail that I did today. Lovely sounds and so forth. Lots of lizards and huge butterflies. It can be slippy at times but if you take your time you’ll be fine. The cave was amazing! It’s very dark so bring a flashlight. They are bats and snakes in the cave as well.

lots of fun jumping into pool. There is a tiny "cave" in the pool to the right of the big falls. big enough for two people.

The road to access the trail is closed after the earthquake.

Did this trail today. Muddy from rain, but manageable. Approximately 1.3 miles from parking lot to cave. Lots of signage (in Spanish) telling you where to go. Saw two Puerto Rican boa snakes along the trail. The trail is very well traveled and distinct, although we did not see any body else the entire time we were there. The stairs into the cave can be slippery, they are wooden with moss, and are obviously older, but I felt safe. The cave itself is large and easy to explore. Lots of bats. Bring at least two light sources! Fun adventure for a cloudy day with no waves!

Great nature experience. It is now run by. Private company which made a paved path and steps for most of the trail. It is very highly trafficked, especially if the surf bad. Best to get there early in the am before the crowds get there. Still two beautiful waterfalls with great swimming and jumping opportunities. Water is warm. They have also added a small cafe for post hike drinks and food, and are building a bigger cafe. There is a five dollar parking/admittance fee. Dec 25

Fun trail to some cool rock formations. You can google Survivor Beach to see what they look like. The trail has lots of tree roots and coral rocks so wear good shoes, not flip flops. I think it’s better at low tide to see the full rocks.

Very beautiful, and the rock formations on the beach are worth the hike. Parts of the trail are very narrow a may be a little difficult for people who are very young or for senior citizens.
