would rate this hike more moderate than easy. a lot of up and down, not much flat areas, and the path has a lot of spots with uneven rocks. gets a little humid, too. beautiful hike, though. the waterfall at the end is worth it. people were going into the water but was ice cold in august. there was a fair number of people at the waterfall. there is a dirt area to park a couple cars at the trailhead (head further north from the trail map/info sign), but most cars were just parked on the side of the road.

Very nice and beautiful trek! There are lots of tunnels there, especially the longest one! Its more than one km long and “funny”. There was a refreshing mineral water falling inside, like a lot of showers!
Beware, there is not much ups and down raising meters, its an error because of the tunnels and GPS positioning. The way is all the time along a levada, so almost flat terrain.
The waterfall is really beautiful! It ´ s possible to get right bellow the waterfall but the way is only climb a short rock.
And more-we prolonged this trek- from the main road on Paul de Serra down into the valley, cca 5km more.

Just a nice trail with a great elevation change.

While not difficult, there is a lot of up and down. I would not say this is easy. Maybe more moderate. All around a great trail, well marked and maintained. This trail is like walking into a postcard.

Ecovia is inside the Nature in Algarve but, unfortunatly there is some parts between along the way that the signs are very bad.
We reccomend this site for more information: http://www.ciclovia.pt/
