Really nice, well marked trail. (Yellow and red horizontal lines painted along the way). This was our first time in Portugal and we loved the variety of forest coverage and incredible granite. The trail is slightly steeper if you start the loop towards the north, so you might consider heading south to kick things off. We had a little difficulty finding the trail head down in town, so I posted a couple pictures of the start. Once you get on the right track, it’s generally very easy to follow. Everyone else may already know this, but when they mark the yellow and red lines in an “X” instead of two horizontal lines, it means “don’t go here”.
Great trail, beautiful sights. Took us 4.5hours, 13km to complete without rushing. We gathered 400 elevation metres, but I wouldn't call it difficult There are no trail marks, but AllTrails served us well + follow the piles of stone/cairns. We set off near Miradouro da Pedra Bela.
Beautiful hike with swimming and waterfall
