Great Trail! Tried to run as Much as possible, took is about 5 hours (21,6 km) with oblygt short brakes. Very beautiful!

Atualmente mal sinalizado, distâncias muito longas sem sinalização, incluído em entroncamentos. Paisagem fantástica, observação de fósseis. Vale a pena.

A small part of the trail goes through caravan park which not everyone might have access to, but it's easy to go around it. Also for the part that goes through the beach, just beware of the tide as the water can cover most of the beach. It was a really nice easy walk, we got to see nice forests and coastal terrain and was very easy to follow.

Hiking the Camino was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I booked my flight a week prior to the hike and started super unprepared- this made for a beautiful experience. I hiked in November/ December of 2018. it was rainy and cold but ever so breathtaking. Hiking in the fall was a great choice since there are very few pilgrims and albergues always have enough empty bed for the night.Just make sure to bring good rain gear and a warm sleeping bag. I would hike it again any day.

Great trail with diverse flora. Lots of variety from fern trails to misty mountain peaks to bouldering along a lake. Very cool Roman ruins. Fun to eat blackberries along much of the trail.

Long but nice easy walk with some exposed terrain. We did it on a foggy day and it was quite nice because it brought a out of this world atmosphere. Stop at the old dam which is a good spot for lunch. Not has nice after that section.

Did this October 2018 and enjoyed every minute. Beautiful countryside.

Description is incorrect. This course is actually closer to 16 miles. Quite hard and long. Plan for at least 8+ hours. I was expecting it to be 12 miles so I did not plan accordingly and could not finish it.

The correct name is - SERRA DE SINTRA

Very nice and beautiful trek! There are lots of tunnels there, especially the longest one! Its more than one km long and “funny”. There was a refreshing mineral water falling inside, like a lot of showers! Beware, there is not much ups and down raising meters, its an error because of the tunnels and GPS positioning. The way is all the time along a levada, so almost flat terrain. The waterfall is really beautiful! It ´ s possible to get right bellow the waterfall but the way is only climb a short rock. And more-we prolonged this trek- from the main road on Paul de Serra down into the valley, cca 5km more.

This trail is always going up and down (can be hard on the knees, especially if you have backpacks) and can be dangerous when there is fog, rain and big winds. We had for two days, starting from Pico Areerio to Boca do Encumeada only fog and little rain... it was sad. But if you can have a good clear sky this, is an epic hike to do and you can camp along the way! We were the only one hiking this trail in early May, because it can be temporarily closed, so beware!
