Great and fairly challenging running trail.

Great trail with clear signage. Mostly open spaces with nice views. Barely saw any traffic on the trail, so very quiet and tranquil. Trail goes from being rocky bit uphill at first, than goes through a forest passage, to second half is sandy while walking past Praia do Bordeira. Wear appropriate shoes. Stunning lookout over the ocean! Took me about 2,5h of hiking to finish the loop. Totally worth a visit!

Incredible views and always with wind breeze to refresh. You are able to spot some fossils as well.

Fantastic and picturesque views of the rocky carved up cliffs. It was an easy walk along the dirt/sand trail above the cliffs. I enjoyed venturing down to the edge of the cliffs for some better views, and that required being careful along the narrow trail with steep drop offs right alongside. It was worthwhile taking the long stairway down to Camilo beach where there’s a cool arch to walk through and a secret cave to crawl into and look skyward through the rock tube. We went at low tide I believe and the arch and cave might not be accessible at higher tides.

I started the hike at Porto de Mos Beach. Despite what the map says, you cannot walk around the point by way of the beach. I had to walk inland and then back towards the beach just after the point. The boardwalk started the walk along the edge of the cliffs and they were magnificent the whole way. The route is basically flat with a few minor dips when I chose to walk out to the rim of the cliffs. The rocky carved out cliffs are picturesque. If you choose to stay on the boardwalk, then the stroll to the lighthouse is essentially flat. There’s no cover during the walk which was fine since the day was warm but slightly overcast and not hot today, November 4. The rock formations at the lighthouse are fantastic, and it was well worth taking the stairs down to the water.

I would recommend this trail to anyone with dogs, on bikes or looking for a good running route. Easy path to follow with great views on a clear day. Nice and shaded under the trees.

Easy trail to Praia de Santa. This is another way to get to this beach and back. At high tide, no much of the beach is there.

Good trail combining woods, cliffs and beaches

Beautiful beach-side walk. My wife and I loved walking above the beach and ocean, enjoying the breeze. Varied views along the way.

Beautiful easy trail along a wide forestry road. We followed the recommended trail up to the ridge, then took a shortcut and found the trail we came from. Easy signs to follow.

A great, easy trail. We extended the original trail of Praia de Santa. Passed the small beach and passed the dinosaur tracks, to the actual Praia de Santa and then to Praia Figueira. The return was via a trail on highland but somewhat away from the coast line.

Stunning hike! This is definitely a moderate rating not easy. We hiked west from Praia de Marinha to just past the beach at Carvoeiro (5.5 mi) and took a taxi back to the car from a hotel at the top of the hill. The sun was behind us - we started at 10am. The trail was very uneven and rocky with a lot of ups and downs. I was glad I was wearing my hiking/trail runners. Bring water and hats. The views along the coast are stupendous. This is a must do hike if you are exploring the Algarve.

lovely views. frequently rocky and uneven ground. mostly flat aside from dropping down to the beaches.

Trail along the beach very beautiful but has deep sand. Good for the gluts I guess.

Great views along the coast.

This was an amazing hike! Hiked one way, then enjoyed the refreshing sea and beach at the end, then Ubered back to car. Breathtaking views!! I suggest wearing good sneakers or hiking boots. This hike is in my top 5!

Tough first and last sections with steep ascents and descents on gravel paths. The middle two thirds were easy hiking and very beautiful, rural/farmland/forest paths. A long hike, over 5 1/2 hours of trekking but worth it.

Quiet, rural hike with well signed directions on forest and country paths. Not much in the way of scenery and a gravel descent at the end.

An easy hike, or leisurely walk along gravel roads with a couple of picnic spots. There are 2 car parks, one at the roadside, the other about 1km up the gravel road to the left of the info board. Well sign posted all the way on posts and rocks. Several little excursions on the way round to explore. Possible wheelchair or buggy access to picnic areas but not wear side of loop. Did this in Sept so weirs were dry, but turtles can be seen lower down river.

really beautiful views, go early to avoid all the tourists. only one or two tricky parts where you have to pull yourself up, but otherwise pretty easy.

What an amazing adventure! The trails were great ..... although sometimes I felt a little bit like a mountain goat! Possibly a bit more markings would help alleviate this .... the signage is limited. Highly recommended!

Spectacular views! More a walk than a hike from Benagil to Maranha (takes 30mins one-way; my wife did it in sandals). Highly recommended!
