Beautiful views of southern Poland. Babia Gora is a great mountain peak -- about 5600 ft and incredible 360 views of Poland and Slovakia.Show more

Giewont (1,894 m/6214 ft) especially as seen from the north (from Zakopane or Gubalowka) is probably the most recognizable summit in Poland - with its two "humps" and a huge (15m/50ft) metal cross on the summit. The start and end points of this trail are very accessible (trail can be easily hiked in either direction) and since they both lay within the city of Zakopane, it is also quite easy to get from the end point to the start point after the hike by taxi. During off-season the foot traffic should be very tolerable. However, it is understandable that in the summer months, especially on the weekends with nice weather, that the number of hikers on the trail could be overwhelming. The trail is not that difficult (though it could be a bit strenuous at some points), except for the 200 meters, or so just before the summit, where it involves climbing rocks on rather narrow ledges (chains/cables installed). The views from the summit are quite spectacular.Show more
