Wonderful experience! Trail begins on a paved road in decent condition which winds through a disarmingly charming local village - where I watched for the first time such things as a farmer using a carabao-drawn plow. Several locals offered to be tour guides. We finally gave in and one led us along for a very modest fee - there are no signs so it was good to know we were in the right path. Our guide spoke no English and was polite about my attempts to ask questions. Once through the village the trail becomes a single path along the ridge line with stunning views. On return leg bought some delicious treats from villagers. Not strenuous but ups and downs afford a good workout. Great day hike. No bugs. Should have brought more sunscreen. Nothing unfortunately in the way of wildlife as this area was deforested long ago, but the views are not to be missed!

If you’re accustomed to other “stair” climbs, this one will be pretty simple. Beautiful from the top though. Worth the climb.

The trail going to Badi Falls was difficult than I expected.

Stairs hike to summit where cross and Coron sign are. After reaching the summit, follow the trail to a gazebo where you can rest in the shade and enjoy a light breeze and beautiful views. Another trail exists on the other side of the gazebo going towards the hills. This unofficial trail feels more like an actual hike than the stairs do. I recommend starting the hike 45-60 min before sunset.

did this with my son 7/24/19 it’s an experience of a lifetime. We’re blessed to see the sea of clouds due to the early rain at 3am weather can change anytime so be prepared as much as possible use waterproof hiking boots gears and layering is a must because it can be so cold early morning to warm during the descend. Trails are properly managed with experienced hiker it can be rated moderate but for beginners it can be difficult.

This trail is well established. At the summit, one mostly is above the clouds.

Great views from both the summit and the Rockies https://hikingtheworld.blog/2019/03/18/mt-maculot-batangas/

an excellent trip for anyone wanting breathtaking views of Taal. you'll need to pay for a "guide" and get there early. it's very busy at the top as everyone must have 2000 selfies to commemorate the hike. super short but very steep. this was easy for me but my friends needed breaks.

This is a nice XC route with intermediate short XC type downhill sections. Be sure to bring plenty of hydration because stores are scarce.

Strenuous but it's all worth it, the place is very challenging and speaking of adventures this is one of them. 60 kilometers of all kinds of challenges, some are 80 degrees climb, some area we have to do rappelling, the humid climate, muddy trails, and sulfur trails. Truly a hikes to behold because of its beauty. We first camp at the outskirt of Tumpis, and all the way up to the White Sand a designated campground before the summit. Early morning assault on the summit of Sunrise a view of Lake Jordan, the caldera of Mt. Apo. Packed our gears and assaulted the tallest peak of Mt. Apo, at the top of the Philippine island. Traversed down to the Kidapawan trail and we camp at the majestic Lake Venido for the night before going back down the trail to Lake Agco.
