To the peak (tourist trail from Llanberis): First 3/4 mile steep tarmac road. Mile 2 and 3 varied from an easy to moderate climb. Mile 4 was quite a steep ascent. Clear route to top, mostly uneven stoney or gravel trail. I completed it on a Saturday. The trail was quite busy and there was quite a queue at the peak to get a picture at the stone. Enjoyable walk. Didn't find it as challenging as Scafell Pike. Well within the abilities of all ages, just the initial section and the mile to the summit that require the real effort. For seasoned walkers / climbers, probably be worth attempting the more difficult routes.

Fantastic scenery.

Great easy to follow trail. The path towards the mountain is especially gorgeous The route down was very challenging; steep with lots of loose rock.

Excellent views and great exercise. Slightly smaller than snowdonia miners trail.

Did this route on 6th July '19 - visibility was extremely poor (when it's good the views are some if the best you'll get anywhere). It's challenging without being too daunting to a novice hill walker and the path is obvious for most of the way.

Did this trail summer 2018 but not this exact trail. Because of parking at Pen y pass, parked at Watkins and took the bus to Pen y pass to hike Miners up to the summit, Rhyd ddu part way down and connect to Watkins for a final pass by the waterfall. This allowed us to catch the lakes on miners and the falls on watkins with new views the entire way. A fairly difficult hike at spots, but well worth the rewards. Really thankful for that beer at the summit.

Tough climbing, just under 2 hours up, just over 1 hour down (and I'm not fit). Amazing views of the mountain range and coast.

I've only done it there and back, not the loop (so straight up and down the mountain). I wouldnt rate that section as hard either, the last bit is some scrambling but you dont need any equipment. it's a nice mountain and we didnt see too many others on the trail.

Great alternative to doing Snowden in Wales. Fewer people and great views. Lots of sheep and cows to see along the way. Along the lower section stone steps in place used to be used by Ponies carrying people up. Loose rocks along the path at the higher level. Recommended for a good day.

It's an amazing walk. Walked with 6 and 11 years old kids this week end. I must say that it wasn't easy and a steep section required quite a bit of hard work. But as soon as you get to the summit it all goes away. The views are sooo beautiful. You did not visit Snowdonia until you walked Snowdon. Its a must ⛰️

first time around, perfectly clear on solstices day. Super fun scrabbling:)

just literally finished this trail, was walking at night for the CWC care workers charity, Started at 23:45 and finished 6hrs 49minutes later. it is the first time I have climbed such a big mountain, I found myself struggling at times but reaching the summit made it all worth while, definitely recommend this walk, I will be trying some other routes in the future

Reasonable scramble but long walk-in with bog at end before ridge.
