slight elevation all the way to the top. went out on 5/18 and there was a ranger doing trail maintenance. you can make it all the way to the top. last 200m has snow but there are several tracks. keep hiking past all the snow and there are dry spots with beautiful views to have your snack/lunch.

This was our approach when we visited yellowstone years past. Very scenic.

Awesome. Other than mud pots and funerals saw buffalo

Great hike.. awesome views .. suspension bridge.. remember the bear spray!!!

Short steep climb at the start then levels off to trout lake. Good amount of traffic in the afternoon. We saw a moose near the start of the trail.

Nice views from overlook point. Do this trail early to beat the crowds and have most of basin to yourself.

Nice hike with a steep climb at the start then leveling out through thick trees. Saw elk, deer, chipmunks and ground squirrels for days. Beaver pond had a couple of abandoned beaver dams but no beavers. Great views of the canyon.

Still covered with hard packed snow but can be easily navigated. Geysers are underwhelming but the views of the canyon are worth it when you get to the top.

Very beautiful hike. Great view easy terrain. The bridge is out on the west side of the trail and you have to cross the river on foot

Fabulous hike. Wildlife was plentiful & beautiful creeks..

Beautiful and quick trail if you're en route from Tower Falls area to Mammoth. Quick hike to Wraith Falls, Enjoy a small spray of water, and all the chipmunks everywhere! Shaded trail for most of the way.

I've hiked this every time my family comes up to YNP! The wildlife, flowers and sights are the best part of it all. We usually start at the parking lot just off the main figure 8 loop road. You can continue up the road and start on Dunraven Pass at a higher elevation. (Last time hiked was in August 2014, planning on going back up August 2018.)

Hiked in July 2016. Incredible, inspiring views from multiple lookouts along the trail. A bit strenuous in hot weather due to elevation gain, but exhilarating and not to be missed.

One of the trails we do EVERY year we come! Late July/ Early August we usually see lots of Otters swimming around and lots of fish to look at in Trout Lake. You'll come across the occasional fisherman, but don't let that deter you from walking around the whole lake. Bring a picnic lunch to eat in the shade or on a log. Enjoy the sound of the water going under the footbridge. Very easy. Uphill coming in and downhill going out, make sure you have shoes with great traction.

The views at the bottom make this trail a 5 in my book -- though there are a lot of stairs, it's not one I'd take kids on if you're carrying them and scared of heights. Beneath you on the way up you'll see the remnants of the original rope ladder used to get to the bottom of the falls. I've taken this trail at least three times. At the time of this review, the trail is currently closed for maintenance and construction until the end of July 2018 - as posted on the nps.gov/yell website. So when it re-opens, and you're planning to be in the area, take the time to see the views and get a small amount of mist!

beautiful views but still completely covered in snow. there's already tracks so it won't be too difficult. it was kinda fun running down in all the snow.

Excellent trail we only walked in 5 miles. The roaring creek and suspension bridge is amazing.

I have completed this hike on multiple occasions, one of the best spots in the park to see Old Faithful erupt.
If you have the chance do the hike at night, the eruption is magical. Make sure to bring bear spray, and a good light!

It’s is as advertised limited and to a fenced off view of a rare find. Not much else

Awesome

It was so fun and pretty. Had an awesome time and definitely recommend

Great sight and if right on time gets you to peak in a fair amount of time

The sights make this a 5 Star. The path is very easy crowded typically and I doesn’t take too much effort normally is not rate as a 5 Star due to those limits but the thermo sights are special

Decent with some awwww. The falls are very cool and the way in seemed simple enough of a hike

Pretty but gets crowded

Did both north and south rim. Did this after hike on Mt washborn in the morning and was a fantastic day moderate rating may be fair but also
Points a bit to the easier side in spots. Fun and most anyone can enjoy this

It takes effort and determination. But is certainly worth it. Do not try if you haven’t trained. But if you are in moderate condition take your time and go for it. Amazing

Nice trail diverse in forest, meadow, shoreline. Heard bears were in area so bring your spray and use common sense. Be prepared to scramble over fallen trees possible. Lots of fun and quick hike
