The trail itself is very easy, flat, and wide. It offers two great, wide open views towards the middle and at the end. You don't get a very good view of the lower falls from the main trail, so if you can, I would recommend taking the side trail down.

To get to the edge of the lower falls, you need to do quite a bit of moderate scrambling on an open-faced talus field. It gets pretty steep, but if you are able, the view of the lower falls is fantastic right from the edge!

This is a fun trail to hike and camp at. There's a pretty river that runs through and great scenery. Watch out for stinging nettles but other than that it's a fantastic trail!

One of my favorite places while living in Idaho -- haven't been on this trail since 2016, but the views never disappoint! Be aware there is a per car fee, $5 a day (unless recently gone up), but don't let that deter you!

I've been on this trail 3 times with my family. It's super easy to follow and lots of fun. There are amazing views and lots of informational signs along the way.

It wasn’t difficult! Carried our 1 year old in a carrier and it we made it just fine. Short and fun hike! Really pretty.

1st half is paved. The loop is not and is a little more difficult. We took a wagon and a stroller and made it ok.

Super pretty view once you get to the top. Not too hard not too easy!

My wife and I love this trail, it’s our go-to when we want to go hiking on short notice. A fairly easy hike with a beautiful view and some excellent rock formations for those who like to go a bit off trail.

Very easy, to the point of being kind of boring.

Loved the hike! only complaint was the dog poop on the beginning of the trail. Definitely coming back though!

beautiful scenery and very easy. accessible walk. if you choose, there's a steep incline that reaches a cluster of boulders which is a great vantage point for viewing the river.

It was a great Sunday activity. The main trail is super easy, there are also some trails that go off which were a lot of fun.

Nice short hike up the hill. I’d do it again, as just a fun date.

I did this hike in June of 2016 with my wife. Instead of doing this trail out and back, we took the Old Pass Road To Teton Pass Trail back up to our starting trailhead..... approximately a 10 mile hike total. After descending from the high views, the trail carves through some of the neatest forest hiking we have ever seen.

This is a great little nature hike. We take all our visitors who like to see our area. A good hike for all ages.

Great trail. We made a late season run to the 6.5 mile mark in preparation for next year's Palisades Ultra Trail Series. Creeks were cold and snow was 1-4 inches with lots of animal signs, no actual sightings though. Can't wait until next year!

A pretty easy trail. Something you can take your time with and enjoy the view.

Very nice scenic hike. Easy. My 3 boys loved it.

Very nice hike for our family of 5. Easy trail along the creek and beautiful views.

Great trail, super pretty, just very muddy.

Great trail for kids. Well maintained. Nice views. Today the leaf color was at its peak: orange and gold galore!

This is a great little hike. It is quite short, but nothing is left short when it comes to the experience. This is a great hike to go, especially in Late September and October to see the colors change for Autumn.
For someone who is just starting out in hiking, it is doable but it can be tough with the inclines it provides. It is possible to hike with kids as well.

The hike up to Aldous Lake was easy and the lake was beautiful. The tall pines we're fantastic and well worth the trip by themselves. Hancock Lake, the upper lake, was much more difficult to get to, but was still a great hike. Well worth the extra effort.

Great hike, beautiful views. you can see the Tetons very clearly from the top. The summit is pretty rocky (some of it loose) heading downward towards Mary's saddle.
