Road bikingGreat!
First to Review

This bike path is simply phenomenal. It's paved, and in spectacular condition. The views of the Tetons are outstanding. Don't be fooled by its short length either. This trail connects from Grand Teton National Park all the way to Jackson. Plenty of miles too chew up, or not. All that matters is you're biking! I was able to complete 34 miles on my single speed, but there are some trickier climbs that left me breathing heavy. No shade so sunscreen is a must.

A great drive. Go early and add in Oxbow Bend slightly east of Jackson Dam. It's maybe the best wildlife area of the park.

Fantastic drive. Make sure to take at sunrise, 6.00 am ... take as many turn outs as posibble . Counterclockwise is best, with sun in the back. I took the drive 4 mornings in a row... never enought.

This road has so many scenic pull offs. The views are gorgeous. You can learn a lot also, with the information boards at the pull offs along the road. A great drive.

Drove this road Easter weekend. You can’t go wrong here! We saw bison on the roadside, as well as other wildlife. The scenery is amazing. Keep in mind that the through road to Yellowstone- the quickest route- doesn’t open until sometime in May. You can get to the west entrance, which takes several more hours than the south entrance. I think I understood that right!

The views! Oh my god the views! Scenic the entire time. We parked at Moose and rode into the park to Jenny Lake and back. Into Jenny lake is slight incline with a big hill just past the park entrance. We were flying on the way back!

Hiking

Nice alpine hike on top of Rendezvous Mountain. Hike up, or take the tram, to the summit of the mountain then follow the well marked trail through light patches of forest, talus fields, and a final rocky scramble back to the top of the mountain where the tram can carry you back down the 4000 feet to the resorts below. Great views over the Snake River and the Teton Range. Deer and marmot can be seen at elevation. Moose are milling about further down the slopes. This isn't a nicely manicured tourist trot despite being a stone's throw from the resort. "Moderate" assumes good fitness and acclimated. Don't bite off more than you can chew. If hiked counterclockwise, about 800 feet of that elevation is packed in to the last half mile.

Nice hike, but you have to really plan well, because the tracks are so well shown. The aren’t many and getting lost can be easy. The area is very pretty. Use good hiking shoes. I have to add that you will have to pay 43$ to take the “tram” (cable).

Road biking

In April, the park plows and closes off sections of the park roads for non-motorized use. Many of the side roads to Jenny Lake and other view points, campgrounds and turnouts are also plowed. The weather couldn't have been better this year. And, April 21 was park free fare day, so locals said it was the most crowds they had ever seen. The main park road is relatively flat, but the side roads can have more elevation. Keep in mind that all the buildings including restrooms tend to be closed. We did see one portapotty at the first Jenny Lake pulloff (that was probably there only as they were doing construction there).

I've done this drive a couple times and it is everything you would expect it to be. Views out over the lakes, the mountains, doesn't get much better than this. I arrived early one morning on one trip, and the water on the lakes was like glass. Great reflection shots. Highly recommended scenic drive!!

Great drive through the middle of the the valley east of the Tetons on the North-South Hwy, takes you by Ansel Adams famous shot at the Snake River Overlook. See bison, pronghorns, elk, moose, deer, coyotes and if lucky a bear. This is wide open country on the road between GTNP and YNP. Arrive at Jackson Lake, where you can overnight in style. Enjoy the ride.
